+Charm Black ops 3 was okay. I didn't say I hated the game, I was trying to point out how they gave an "alright" game a much higher review. Yes okay Just cause 3 has some major performance issues and may be at a rocky start but we all know they'll fix it. Just cause 3 is an amazing and beautiful game with super fun gameplay. +TotallyNegatory Ah, yes; Cima Leon-protected by the FOW airstrikes. Been there, died a dozen times-gave up for the night. Ignore that for now, there's a story mission to disable the FOW. The load times are only an issue if the payoff's terrible; i.e 2 mins worth of gameplay [a challenge] or being taken out by an airstrike [I'll say a minute]-for 30 seconds of loading. Are you on X1? I've never experienced these 3 minute load horror-stories on my PS4. As you get more experienced, you become accustomed to surviving for longer and longer; making the loads a non-issue. P.S; I've been playing this since the day it came out, and haven't touched Fallout 4 in that time.

+Andrew Wilson There is a workaround I sort of stumbled on which seems to work. When you are stuck in loading, press the PS button to exit to the main menu. Wait a few seconds and then go back into the game. For whatever reason this seems to progress the load bar and within about 10 seconds it should be loaded up. Hope this helps others as well :)

It's not as bad as Dan makes it out to be except for the load times. I've not had any performance issues yet and I've spent hours causing chaos in it on PS4. The only slowdown I've come across is when you die and it intentionally placed there. This game is a blast to play!

The load times is the only problem I've had. I play on PS4 and haven't had any frame rate drops really. A few time it dropped to 28fps but I have had it drop further than that. I have had it hit 31 and 32fps a few time which I thought was weird cause I thought it was locked at 30fps

Here I am playing this game 3 years later and I find it very enjoyable to play. I got the PS4, because I was aware the the Xbox’s lower processing power. I’m sure patches helped too. First off I absolutely love this game on PS4. Just Cause 2 was one of the most under rated games of last generation consoles. Second, wow that is a harsh score. With that said Avalanche Studios needs to fix the frame drops and load times. From Software was able to reduce Bloodbornes load times up to 15 seconds and CD Projekt RED was able to fix frame rate issues with The Witcher 3. Its possible to fix this game too.

umm, i played this for console and the loading screens were a pain but did not last longer than 45 seconds at the most. the bugs were annoying because at certain times when im playing a mission, the game would randomly fail me so i would have to retry. However there was no point where I had to play "conservatively" because this game is all about exploring and experimentation with the mods, as well as the destruction. I've played games for at least 19 years now and i still dont understand how people would be knitpicking at trying to notice framerate. Its like they want to find something really bad to say about a game. to me, this was a rollercoaster of a game that left me with mixed feelings in the begining but left me wanting more by the end. unfortunately, i did almost everything ie liberating outposts, 3 star all the challenges (not going for 5 star on everything because thats just frustrating and not worth the grind), collected every collectible, and beat the missions.

THRESH X NEONZ No it doesn't, DF has already made a video about Bo3 and it is not stable.The campaign was terrible with major drops to even the 30s, multiplayer kept a more stable framerate but it drops when explosions happen or when there's just too much on screen. The PS4 is more stable but drops in resolution sometimes, the Xbox drops quite a bit in resolution because it can't hit 900p.

I wish lagging and frame rate reduction was the only technical problem. My game ejected me and started a new game on its own when I was 60% completed. I reluctantly started over and it continued to undo bases, outposts and cities I had already conquered. Without multiple save slots my "game save data" was at the mercy of the bug filled auto save feature. I've invested way too many hours to risk starting over (a third time) just to worry if it's going to happen again. I'm out, and I doubt I will buy just cause four if only out of protest that I can't get my money back from this regretful purchase.

Fallout 4 has crippling loading times too though but that's still a phenomenal game. I think this is the first time I've seen load times ever mentioned as a negative in a review, I wish they were mentioned more to be honest. I appreciate the updated review for the console versions though, I'm glad I waited now, think I'll wait for the impact of patches

Am I the only one who has like none of these problems? On my ps4, I have had no frame rate problems, loading times pass quickly and it has never crashed once.

Loading screens aren't so long for me. But when I play, even driving a car makes the fps drop into the teens. I just want to know why. Why did they even release this game on console when it performs so badly? Did they even play test it on a console? If so, why couldn't they have delayed the release when the game is practically unplayable? So far the patches have done NOTHING to fix the fps drops, so when in combat, it feels more like you're watching a slide show than playing a video game. If you see this, I urge you not to buy this for console, it's a complete waste of money. I ignored what was said in the review, and now I'm stuck with a broken game that I can't refund. 5.9 is a generous rating for the console version of just cause 3, complete garbage would be a more appropriate description than mediocre.

In my opinion is good game, but is something repetitive as the jc2 they could do things little different, but is fun as hell when you blow up things and fly, My score would be 9/10

And now after a few patches and PS4's Boost Mode it run perfect for me! I've notice no frame drops and have enjoyed it very much! The only problem with performance is Xbox is locked to 900P for some reason and I get 1080p 30fps unlocked and it usually runs at about 33 with 3 to 8 FPS under extreme load for only 2 to 3 seconds when I've tested it by running the gameplay through a PC. And when I upgraded to a SSD I'm getting 35 to 40 FPS with with 2 to 5 FPS drops under extreme load and it only drops for second or two at most. With my old PS4 it does have a lot of frame drops and issues tho! It crashes and acts a bit off. Can't wait to see a just cause 5 on PS5 even tho 4 had bad sales it was more of a tech demo tbh.. That new engine, upgraded for PS5 would do some amazing things! And it would be there last chance at reviving the series! Hopefully we see it!!

I have the game and I disagree with this review completely. I've liberated 2 regions now and I've yet to encounter mayor issues w the game. Polygon's review is the definitive one. My opinion is that it's a must buy for long time fans, but newcomers may consider buying when a discount kicks in. *fun factor = 10/10!

Yes there are framerate issues and the loading screens are annoying, but that's no excuse to give it a 5.9. It's still a good game. A solid 7 in my book.

Shame it's performance was never optimised on xbox and ps4. I hope just cause 4 will be more optimised and have longer support with patches and content updates.

It is a shame Just Cause 2 had greater frame rate than Just Cause 3. Feels like you are trying to swim in molasses when things go boom. Just Cause 2 didn't have this crappy frame rate. I do like the game but it does get quite repetitive and Easter Egg hunt to liberate the bases and towns. Searching for like a small transformer or billboard just to get the final liberation gets really old. They could have used a highlight system when you get down to the last few objects to blow up.

So R6 which costs £50, no campaign, little content and nothing new gets a 7.9, this gets a 5.9 because of frame rate drops but it contains a massive open world, weapons, etc

having very similar issues on PC, the game was slightly rushed, they didn't workout all the kinks, I have to lower all of my Settings to enjoy the game on PC, but loading times are still kinda long and AI is dumb.

on PC: 9/10 on console: 2/10 the review didnt lie. the frame rate issues are so bad the game is completely unplayable imo. it would constantly and consistently drop to below 20 fps. its atrocious and they never fixed it. do not buy this game unless you have a PC with decent ram.

legit besides the frame rate drops the game is pretty damn good like the loading times are like 30-60 seconds and I'm playing it on Xboxone

Christoffer Sunberg said that they are working on the performance issues which is good because I have it on Xbox one, yeah its frame rate is bad at times but I still think it is one of the best games
