the 480 was the best spacing saw ever made. I spaced at least 600 hectares with one of these. I love your style by the way, pro job in bigger stuff. Nice cut pattern.
@chatimer12 жыл бұрын
@okrafoot if you look closer i'm actually spacing trees not clear cutting..the trees I cut are left as compost which is beneficial for soil and the trees i space.

what type of saw ?....who sells it or is it custom made........you left out key points on this video
@chatimer7 жыл бұрын
Alberto Rodriguez it's a stihl fs 480. They stopped making them 5 years ago to 'curb carbon emissions'. If you luck out and find one second hand that's still in good shape, hold on to it because with one saw I've cut hundreds of hectares and some dealerships still have parts.

wtf ya good if ur cutting fireweed or small softwood, had an experienced guy use a 350 for not even a day where we are and it revealed to be a truly piece of shit. btw this video is 3 years old, i got 10 years...if u think a 250 is a gonna clear house in thick hardwood land, .1 a day sounds like ur cup of tea...cheers
@gocoastgaurd7219 жыл бұрын
those chaps will do nothing against that blade. Just FYI
@DavidSmith-fr1uz9 жыл бұрын
If these are regular chaps, you're absolutely right. There are some chaps that are made with Kevlar Fiber that are highly resistant to cutting. However, they work better with chainsaws than sawblades. Point is, as you have implied, people need to be really careful with these tools. Often you won't know you're cut until you see or feel the blood.
@gocoastgaurd7219 жыл бұрын
David Smith Exactly, I don't even know if kevlar would stop a blade like that, the best would be pure sheet steel;). But realistically, the best is to be careful and not act stupid.
