Me too! It’s a very cool strategy game once you get over the initial phases of learning

Black's move 13 is indeed senteish but for a different reason than the one you explain. If black comes out of atari at r3, you can atari back from the other side (at s3) and if black descends again at r2, you play s2. Black has to turn at q2. You then block at p2 and black is captured since he only has two liberties. (If he ataries at p4 or p3, you defend by playing the other one.) Rather, the reason why the move is threatening is because, if you tenuki, black can atari at s3 and squeeze. That is, after you capture at r3, black ataries at t4, forcing you to fill up the eye at r4. Black then steals the corner by playing s2 and you not only lost the corner, you end up with bad shape. The move only is senteish, though, since black ends up having cutting points and the big move that you can make elsewhere if you tenuki might largely compensate for the local loss after black squeezes and lets you take sente yet again. Congrats for ranking back up!

Also, don't forget to turn on the coordinates ;-)

unfortunately there is no option in the settings for the coordinates on three of the 4 stages (play areas) in the game. Since this was career mode, the stages are flipped randomly i believe...

Yes agreed! In the moment I wasn't able to see the bigger picture (bad habit of my playstyle or just experience in general) But during opening, having black invest several stones to take the corner might be beneficial for white if white is able to solidfy elsewhere with a greater yield in territory. Albeit, this game I don't think that was the case since black already took two 3-4 corners. Thanks you! hoping to hit higher kyu soon!
