Sure he could. He'd just have to work the system a little. If he's focused and driven, NOTHING can stand in his way. There's always a way around the bs rules that are put in place to stop the little guy from becoming the big guy. But that's the only way to become the big guy. Skate right over top of the rules.

I think it is funny when people complain about the eBay fees like some of the comments on here. If you don't like the margin that eBay or Amazon charge then go open up a brick and mortar shop and see if you can get millions of people coming in everyday!!! The people that are complaining in my opinion have never had a business outside of eBay or Amazon or just don't do anything but work for the man. Oh, and don't think I haven't had brick and mortar businesses or high overhead and low margins of profit. This is why we are opened up a eBay store and Amazon. I am tired of my high overhead I have had for the past 18 years of many businesses.

ThriftyTruckers it’s true. When I told my grandpa (who opened a brick and mortar business in the early seventies) how my EBay and Amazon e commerce businesses work he couldn’t believe how easy it is to be successful today. That 10% Amazon and 13% ebay-PayPal fee in order to have 350 million potential views on your product(s)? That’s a fucking STEAL I’ll take that any day.

Mike, I am wondering what program do you use for your inventory ? because I have the opportunity to start up a eBay store for a very successful store in my area, however I don't know how to track the inventory so I don't double sell. So heres a example if I have a store on eBay and a store in my town if someone comes in to buy the shirt inside my store how do I remove the qty from eBay so I don't double sell ? There has to be a program I would think right ? Thats the only thing holding me back, because I don't want to manually every 5 mins keep updating my eBay inventory with my store inventory. If you could point me in the right direction. Thanks, Mike

i made over 1.5 mill sales but my profit at end paying rent fee tax other expense i only make 100k.. now that i live in California,, my avg friend make about 150k working at google.. so im consider broke.. so is really depend how you look at. i grind 8 days a week work 29 hour a day.... now from 100k i have to pay my house rent, car bills, medical bills, property tax for my house, kids mouth to feed, college fund, cars for them to drive. so now im at 10k..... avg people who work at probably get pay better then what i do. they can quit the job.. i cannnoooooottt!!! i will go bankruptcy divorce etc.... that 10k now have to make my wife and the wife mother happy that alone will cost me easy 20k a years.. so im negative 10k. this is where my credit card come alone.. now i have debit also.. maybe i owe 40k.. i really dunno how hes situation is. maybe dead broke at even at 2mill total sale. wait untill ebay slap and tax on us and rest.. we will lose another 80k so do that math. Much rather work at wal mart.

If you take ROI of 30%. That would be $600k in 5 years on just this platform. So $120k a year at 30%. Even at an average 20% ROI on those sales would net $80k a year. Granted being self employed you have to cover your own benefits. But either way it is carving out a decent living on your own terms.
