You seem more than a little confused on the issue of crime. Seven out of ten states with the highest per-capita rates of violent crime voted Republican in the 2020 election. In contrast, seven out of ten states with the lowest rates voted Democrat. Murder is much more prevalent in red states than blue states. In 2020, homicide rates were a stunning 40 percent higher in the 25 states that former President Donald Trump won compared to the 25 won by current President Joe Biden. Of the 10 states with the highest 2020 per capita murder rates in America, eight of them not only voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, they voted Republican in every presidential election this century. For example, Mississippi and Louisianna topped the charts with murder rates twice that of Illinois, three times California, and four times New York. Why can't Kennedy simply admit the fact that the inbred, uneducated right are most prone to violent crime.

@@shawnupchurch998 As someone who's studied constitutional law... it's a bit more of a grey area because of the lack of a strict definition of probable cause and what is considered a reasonable search. Whenever a crime rate in an area gets above a certain level, and that crime happens to come from certain areas and.. dare I say it... certain groups of people... then if an officer runs into someone of those groups in those places, given the percentage of them commiting crimes, it becomes reasonable to assume that the person the officer comes accross is going to commit a crime.. You have to ask the question of how do you get this problem under control? One solution is making sure the populace is armed but what happens when a group of a fully armed populace resorts to turning those arms on eachother and innocent bystanders? I don't want to see the people's guns removed from them so you need another enforcing power to regulate these exchanges. If the criminal activity was self contained the problem would solve itself but there are innocents getting dragged in to the problem, so what's the solution?

Kennedy is endorsing a repudiation of the 4th amendment by endorsing ' stop and frisk'. That is NOT a solution! How many of you lawyers and others who work in law are going to tolerate being stopped and frisked randomly without cause? I think you know the answer. You won't, and the cops will leave you alone too. It's not for you guys! It's not just for criminals, or suspected criminals either. It's for the ' great unwashed ', the common man who has no power or connections. We are tired of this! Both political parties are garbage. Kennedy often sounds like he is speaking good things. Let's not be fooled again by taking everything he says as absolute truth. He's being exposed here, like Sheriffs Judd in Florida and Arpaio in Arizona. It doesn't entirely surprise me that Republicans are disregarding the Bill of Rights. Look at the Republicans who endorsed red flag laws and voted for that ridiculous spending bill. Stop and frisk will not work in constitutional carry states, if a cop suspects someone is carrying concealed, if that's his only reason for stopping someone. Kennedy contradicted himself at least twice in this speech. He hasn't clarified anything, but has muddied our perception and what we do know to be true. This is outrageous. I can only hope Tucker Carlson brings this to the country's attention.

@@Milamber5186 I'm sympathetic to that argument. But given the frail nature of people, for instance, understanding that even good people can have a really bad emotional episode, I think that guns represent a grave danger. I am very disciplined in my emotions. But I also see how much resolve it takes to never-ever-but-never violate how a firearm should be treated. You see that movie Rust? They had professionals who erred. So it is very easy for mistakes to occur for various reasons. Then, I see how many innocent people have died from murdering sprees. I think it is wrong to place my freedom above the life of others. The right wing glorifies violence. Elected congressmen replaced the flag on their lapel with a mini AR 15? Maybe if Trumpists could be disciplined with their mouths the culture could change for all of us. But on these very pages Trumpists say things like "I'm heating up my barrel", to threaten those who disagree with them. The gun has become the defense of those who name call democrats every vile thing they can imagine. They get angry, they talk about their guns, and then they feel so justified that they don't have to concede that anyone else matters. While you figure out how to stop the crazies, more of us just die. No. We won't wait for you any longer. I will vote to have the guns taken. Banks don't self regulate, neither should gun owners.

I've been subject to stop and frisk. You know why? because the local cops knew I was up to no good. To a young mind, as mine was then, it's egregious to feel like cops who have better things to do are targeting you over nothing. It's a complex discussion that goes back to the old saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

My family is native to New Orleans, and I’ve grown up, and lived my whole life just 45 minutes north of New Orleans, and while I always loved going there growing up, and it used to truly be a fun place to be, I do not go there anymore, unless I go to visit my grandmother, and when I go to see her I only go in to see her, and then I get out of the city as fast as I can. Any shopping I do for her, I get it from where I live, and then bring it down to her. We wish we could move her from there, but she does not want to leave, and we can’t force her. Bottom line is, locals feel the same way, and it’s truly sad because it used to be such an amazing place. It’s been ruined by these administrations who care more about criminals than the innocent citizens and visitors caught in the crosshairs of the violence.

3. Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Democrat) F.D.R. was America’s first socialist President. His “New Deal” was actually a “Raw Deal.” He was the President that did the yeoman’s share of work in preparing the United States to reject American independence and embrace socialism-complete with the gargantuan list of federal alphabet agencies designed to promote and enforce the socialist agenda. What Woodrow Wilson had failed to accomplish with the attempted League of Nations, Roosevelt accomplished by laying the framework for the United Nations, which came into fruition under his successor Harry Truman. Roosevelt was also the man responsible for aiding and abetting communism in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. I think it is also accurate to say that F.D.R. purposely goaded Japan into war. I further believe he made sure that the defenses that should have seen the Japanese attack coming were not operational. Not to mention his unconscionable internment of Japanese Americans during the war. Abraham Lincoln gave America an imperial presidency. Woodrow Wilson gave America globalism. F.D.R. gave America socialism.

Some cities have criminals running the police departments, enforcing quotas to officers, and giving them trophies and bonuses to whoever gets the highest quota numbers.
