This may seem a bit random to you Kathleen- but also, maybe not. Growing up my perspective of Jesus ended up being a confused one (based on my family's perspective it was for crazy people). Since then I've had hundreds of messages flood Into my inbox from people on KZbin telling me I needed jesus- that only ended up reinforcing the perspective my parents gave me. Then, you came along. Back in my "abraham days" I built a very special connection with you. You emanated love of Jesus to me and a wisdom and patience I hadn't seen before, it made me curious. For me, it isn't about worrying over outcomes. It is accepting that there are many possible outcomes. And how I feel will influence my choices. Only in times of unsureness and lack of clarity do we see a fork in the road. It is like I walk my path with boldness as if each step is paved right under my feet as I go(reminds me of that scene in Xmen 3, when Magneto breaks out of prison and as he walks over a great expanse, metal planks appear under his feet as he boldly moves forward). There are so many things I have been afraid to do. Afraid to create new technologies that could help mankind for the fear I would be murdered, the technology buried, and having accomplished nothing. Afraid to pursue politics for fear someone would hold the lives of my family over my head if I tried to do the right things, and afraid to find new people to love for these same reasons. I could do so much good for the world and for mankind on so many levels and I am afraid that it could all be for not and that the people that I love would suffer for nothing. I have potentials that the world has not yet seen, and yet I am frozen in place. Not only am I not helping the world, I am not even helping myself. But I am miserable in this limbo of my own creation and perhaps it is time to just let go. If those who put greed above the sanctity of life wish to kill me for trying to make the world a better place, then so be it.

Speaking the language of facts! A few years ago when I started my spiritual journey I could never wrap my head around 'letting go' and what attachment really is. It was all or nothing, I tried letting go of everything, then I realized that's not what that means. We are still here to be immersed and busy, letting go doesn't mean giving up, it doesn't mean ignoring your emotions, it doesn't mean neglecting your duties. The bhagavad Gita showed me what work without attachment really feels like. Its about feeling absolutely everything that you are feeling, and leaving it at that. if there's a thought or emotion that your intuition feels action is needed, GO FOR IT. But if you observe your thoughts and emotions well enough you'll see most of it requires no further intervention or attachment and all you need to do is feel it while retaining your focus on the present. Putting this into words almost sounds like its easy to master once you are aware, but that is NOT the case. I struggle every damn day not to let my rushing thoughts spiral me into oblivion, but even the most painful darkest times eventually bring the warmest love if you let it. Even if there's something you observe every day that you want to change, and it seems like it will never get better, just observing it every time it happens will force change. I still have horrible social anxiety, and I rarely talk about it or admit it but it is my bane. I always think, man if I had the same confidence that most others seem to have, I would be unstoppable. But then I really observe within myself and others that confidence can be fake, sometimes people are confident cause they just don't know better. Just being seen and showing up is courage in itself, and by reacting to presence instead of attachment everything just kinda lines up.

Who, when he saw what really mattered in life, he "let go" of all the negativity in his heart, and it grew so big that it seemed to exploded right out of his chest!
