Thank goodness - someone with the courage to call this out. This inquiry is not questioning the wisdom of lockdowns and school closures -only whether they should have been imposed sooner and harder. Sweden shows that lockdowns made little difference to mortality but had a devastating effect on the economy and mental health. More people likely to die as a result of the NHS waiting lists created. Those responsible for the deaths in care homes should of course be held to account, their families unable to even say goodbye.

What is the actual reason for this inquiry? To put him into prison for life? If not, it's just waste of time.

It doesn't get better, does it? I mean, the more I hear at this Covid Inquiry the more angry and disappointed I am with the government. Arrogant politicians doing damage limitations pretending they're sorry, it's just appalling. Respect to the forensic Hugo Keith KC and Andrew O'Connor KC in particular, they are doing a sterling job of getting to the nub of what really happened. The damning documents almost speak for themselves.

At the end of the day, this inquiry is pointless because not one person, not one person, will face any consequences or be held to account. They will all keep their jobs, privileges and pensions.

Why don't you think it's important to think about how we could do things better in the future so that fewer lives can be lost in the next pandemic? Why don't you think that ministers being asked to give evidence to the inquiry and facing questions from the legal team isn't holding them to account?
