Never, ever spray lubricants like WD-40 in to any locking mechanism. Yes, it will free up the mechanism now but over time with collect dust and dirt and seize up the mechanism. Use graphite powder pumped into the lock mechanism.

I'm gonna advise people to not put wd-40 on their wiper blades. When it rains, especially at night, you'll find out why. Always clean them with washer fluid or vinegar and water.

Great questions! WD-40 works in many conditions, but in extreme cold, a lubricant for low temps might work best.

No 8: Ok the tank cover release no longer works. So how did he open the tank cover. Again, DO NOT spray WD-40 on anything nylon. It will work for a time but petroleum product cause nylon to expand and the lock will eventually jam in the sheath. Use graphite powder.
