I MUST PAY HOMAGE TO ONE OF MY DOPEST FRIENDS FROM THE SOUTH SIDE-COMPTON!!! Mr. Mix Master Spade... I remember Spade came out to Pasadena, CA to go clubbing with my classmate from OKC and ME! Spade drove his Grandmother's new car (CADDY) and he went to sleep behind the wheel while he was following us home!! He wanted to make sure that we arrived at our destination safely! I looked back and did not see him, so we went back to check on him and he had fallen to SLEEP and hit a TREE on Los Robles Blvd!! Spade woke up and he jumped out of the car with a huge bruise on his chest from the steering wheel!! I tried to get him to go to the doctor, but he got in the car with us and decided to call his grandmother and tell her that he was CAR JACKED!!! I felt so sorry for him because he was so close to his GRANDMOTHER and he did not want to make her cry!!!!! RIP MIX MASTER SPADE!! YOU WERE ONE OF THE SWEETEST SOULS IN THIS RAP GAME!!! NEVER TOO COOL TO TALK TO A FAN!!! This rap game misses your presence!!! I know that you are MIXING ON THOS HEAVENLY 1s and 2s!!!

buzzydj Thank you for the condolences...I had the opportunity to record with Toddy D.. We covered and remixed a cut from Teddy Pendergrass called Cold Cold World. We recorded the single on some equipment that he had in his house in South Central LA. He is so talented.. Batterram was an insightful account of the injustices that occurred in LA without the checks and balances..

divvamonroe1 wow that's an awesome story. I'm actually surprised Spade came clubbin in Dena. Was he a blood or crip? Because back in the 80s the gang banging was not for jokes like today. It was forreal. So for him to roll out to Dena was taking a risk if he was a Compton crip.

@bulldogface8259 I need that Spade cut....I Am Big Time. Mix Master Spade was the man back in the days. He was real. NWA was bonafide generic studio gangsters. If you look at Dre in the early days of NWA you can tell he doesn't even feel comfortable dressed up like he was a real gang member in the black jacket from the Compton Swap Meet. They ruined the whole game talking that wild stuff. All that calling women a Bxtch was not a common occurrence and would immediately start fights. Cube is the first dude I ever heard claiming Compton but was actually from Los Angeles. It ain't like he was living next to Killer King on the border of Watts and Compton. Dude way down Imperial claiming Compton. I bet he ain't ever opened his mouth to call a woman a Bxtch in Compton, LA, Watts, Inglewood, Lynwood, or anywhere else in the area and yet he advised everyone else to do it. Gots zero respect for him and NWA.
