@Happinessgarden6669 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing! 😊 It's quite interesting when orchids change their flower color. Sometimes, orchids can change flower color due to the surrounding environment, light, or care conditions. However, if your plant is still healthy and blooming regularly, that's a good sign! If you want to try encouraging it to bloom purple again, you can experiment with changing the light conditions or use suitable natural fertilizers. Best of luck with your orchid!

I'm a new orchid gardener; in the past 3 days you have offered 5 different types of fertilizer for orchids. Please tell me what is the best fertilizer to keep new orchids healthy and producing flowers. Thank you
@Happinessgarden6662 күн бұрын
Thank you for following the channel! To maintain health and promote flowering in orchids, you should use a fertilizer high in Potassium and Phosphorus, such as a fertilizer specifically made for orchids. This type of fertilizer helps the plant grow strong and bloom regularly. Some good options include natural fertilizers like banana peel, apple peel, or worm castings. You can add fertilizer to the watering solution about once a month, avoiding overuse to prevent harm to the plant.

Watching from Oregon in the US. Thank you for your channel! I learn so much! I've watched you use rice water, coffee, tea, garlic, aloe and I think ginger. can you do a comparison video about the different results you get with each one? Does one make more blooms, and another thicker roots and another grows orchids faster Are some better in different seasons? Do you suggest any specific nutrients for specific results?
@franklyspeaking527613 күн бұрын
I would take any advice here with a grain of salt. I nearly killed all of my beautiful orchids using coffee grains. They’re just starting to recover after many months. Not everything here is true. People use KZbin channels as a source of income.
@Happinessgarden66613 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for watching the channel and for sharing this great question! 😊 I’m so glad that you’re learning a lot from my videos. I will consider making a comparison video about the different results from rice water, coffee, tea, garlic, aloe, and ginger in orchid care. Each ingredient has its own benefits: Rice water helps with root growth and plant development. Coffee boosts plant health, but be careful with the amount because coffee can be slightly acidic. Tea is a good source of nutrients and helps keep orchids healthy. Garlic is a natural antibacterial that protects plants from fungal diseases. Aloe is great for healing wounds and promoting healthy growth. Ginger stimulates growth and strengthens the plant. Regarding seasons, you can try these ingredients in different seasons and observe the results, but overall, these natural ingredients are great for supporting your plant throughout the year. If you want more blooms, focus on providing nutrients from rice water and coffee. If you want thicker roots, ginger and aloe might be the better choice. I’ll make a more detailed video so you can easily compare and pick the best ingredients for your orchids! 🌸

At the end of your video, the propagated cuttings were placed on top of moss. What are the care instructions for the cuttings?
@Happinessgarden6668 күн бұрын
"Thank you for watching the video! Here are the care instructions for the orchid cuttings: Ensure the moss stays moist but not overly wet. You can lightly mist the moss daily to maintain humidity, but avoid soaking it. Place the cuttings in a location with indirect light, not direct sunlight. Check regularly for root development. After about 4-6 weeks, the cuttings will start to grow roots. Once the roots have developed sufficiently, you can transfer the new plant into a pot with suitable medium. Wishing you success in propagating your orchids!"
@Happinessgarden6668 күн бұрын
Thank you for asking! To care for the cuttings, keep them moist by gently spraying water on the moss regularly, ensuring the cuttings don't dry out. Place the cuttings in a spot with indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight. After a few weeks, when the cuttings start to form roots, you can transfer them to a small pot or a place with enough light to grow. 🌸

Hi. I have 2 orchids that have another orchid each growing. Do I leave the new orchid in the plant or remove it? How do I split it without ruining it? Thank you. Fr. PTO. RICO
@Happinessgarden66613 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question! 🌱 When a new orchid (keiki) grows on the mother plant, you can leave it if you prefer both the mother and baby plants to grow together. However, if you'd like to separate them, ensure the keiki has roots at least 3-5 cm long and at least 2-3 leaves. To separate: Sterilize your cutting tool (knife or scissors). Gently cut the keiki close to its base, avoiding damage to the roots. Plant the keiki in a new pot with suitable growing media and keep it lightly moist. Place it in a spot with gentle light and monitor its care closely. Wishing you success and healthy growth for both plants! 🌺

Hello Im watching you from California. My question to you is, what do you do with Cattaleya buds that have bo leaves or flowers. They have already bloomed and are just taking up space
@Happinessgarden66613 күн бұрын
Thank you for asking this question! When the Cattaleya buds have already bloomed and no longer have leaves or flowers, you can cut off the spent flower stems to help the plant focus on growing new roots and leaves. If the plant is still healthy and has new shoots, you can leave the stem. However, if the plant isn't growing further or shows signs of being unhealthy, you should trim off the unhealthy parts to help the plant recover. Make sure the plant still receives adequate light and moisture. 🌸

@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing! 😊 Changing the soil periodically is an important aspect of orchid care, as the soil can lose nutrients over time. However, it’s also important not to change the soil too frequently to avoid stressing the plant. Watching the plant’s growth and blooms will help you adjust the care approach accordingly.

Would this mixture work on any plant ?
@Happinessgarden6662 күн бұрын
The bark and moss (or peat) mix is ideal for plants that require well-draining, airy environments, like orchids. However, for other plants, you may need to adjust the mix to meet the specific needs of each plant. For example, if you’re caring for moisture-loving plants, you can add a bit of loamy soil or organic compost to retain moisture longer. Each plant has its own needs, so be sure to adjust the medium accordingly! 🌱

Thank you so much for the compliment! 😊 To use black tea as fertilizer for orchids, you should do this about once or twice a month. Garlic also has many benefits, as it has antibacterial properties that help protect the plant from pests. You can try applying this method once a month and see the results!

Bonjour, votre travail est très intéressant; je voudrais savoir quel est la température du lieu où se trouvent vos orchidées. Merci de votre réponse 😊
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын

Awesome, so simple. Needs a lot time & patiently. I am from Jkt , weather is not very friendly, too hot & pollution. Any suggestions. Thanks
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing! Hot weather and pollution can be a challenge when caring for orchids, but there are ways to help them thrive. You can place your orchids in a shaded spot, avoiding direct sunlight, and use a fan to create airflow. Also, maintain humidity around the plant by misting or placing the plant on a tray with stones and water, making sure the roots don’t touch the water. Additionally, using natural fertilizers like banana peel or apple peel is very helpful in such conditions.

I’m in Baltimore, Maryland. What is the best pot to use?
@Happinessgarden66613 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question! 🌱 For orchids, pots with drainage holes are essential to prevent waterlogging. You can choose clear plastic pots because orchids need light for their roots, and the transparent pots allow you to easily observe the root condition. You can also go for clay or wooden pots if you prefer a more natural look, but make sure they have good drainage. Wishing you success in taking care of your orchids in Baltimore! 🌸

Hi may I ask I don't have black tea , can I use green tea or normal tea
@Happinessgarden6669 күн бұрын
Thank you for asking! 😊 You can definitely use green tea or regular tea instead of black tea. These types of tea still contain beneficial compounds that can provide nutrients for your orchids. However, black tea tends to have more tannins, which help clean the roots and provide better nutrition for the plant. But green tea or regular tea can still be effective. Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 It’s wonderful to know that my advice has helped your orchids stay healthy. Regarding the fertilizer, you can store any unused fertilizer in a dry, cool, and airtight place, avoiding exposure to air for too long as it may lose its effectiveness. However, if the fertilizer contains organic ingredients, it’s best to use it within a week to ensure its quality. Avoid storing it for too long as some components may break down.

Does this method work for orchards..or with any house plants??
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
This method is primarily designed for orchids, but it can also be effective for some other houseplants. Orchids require special conditions for light, water, and nutrients, but other houseplants like succulents or ornamental plants can also benefit from providing adequate light, proper watering, and using the right fertilizer. However, each plant type has its own specific needs, so you'll need to research the requirements of each plant to apply the most suitable method.

Can you please tell me if its best to cut back to leaves when flowers die or leave stem on an should I use banna watter to watter in stead of rain or tap watter please
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
You should not cut the leaves of your orchid when the flowers die because leaves are essential for photosynthesis and growth. Instead, check the flower stem and only cut it if it has completely dried out. If the stem is still green, it might bloom again. Regarding watering, banana water can be used as a natural fertilizer but should not replace your main watering source. The best option is to use rainwater or tap water left overnight to reduce chlorine, and occasionally add banana water to provide extra nutrients for your orchid

Can you use 3 tea bags of black tea?
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
Yes, you can use 3 bags of black tea to make fertilizer for orchids. Black tea contains antioxidants and nutrients that can help support plant growth. Here's how you can do it: Brew the tea: Boil about 1 liter of water, then add 3 black tea bags and let it steep for about 10 minutes. Strain and let cool: Strain the tea and let the water cool completely. Water the orchids: Once the tea is cool, you can use it to water your orchids. However, it’s recommended to do this once or twice a month to avoid overloading the plants with caffeine or acidity.

Are the orchids that you have in the video with multiple stems a different type then the ones that only do one flower stem.
@Happinessgarden66610 күн бұрын
Yes, the orchids with multiple stems in the video are typically a different type from those that only produce one flower stem. These multi-stem orchids are usually more vigorous and capable of producing more blooms, and they may belong to species like Dendrobium, Cattleya, or others. On the other hand, orchids with just one flower stem are often single-stem types like Phalaenopsis or Vanda. Each type of orchid has unique growth and blooming characteristics, and care may vary depending on the variety.

How many times a month should you do this?
@Happinessgarden6662 күн бұрын
Typically, you should apply this method about 1 to 2 times per month, depending on the plant's needs. If your plant is in a period of strong growth, you can do it more often, but avoid overdoing it to prevent stressing or overloading the plant. Keep an eye on the plant’s condition to adjust accordingly.

Two thumbs up. All your orchids are very lucky to receive such serious, empathetic care. Can I also use black tea and a spoonful of baking soda to fertilize plants other than orchids?
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 Black tea and baking soda can be natural fertilizer options for other plants besides orchids. However, you need to experiment carefully, as each plant has different nutritional needs. Black tea provides some nutrients like potassium and calcium, while baking soda can help adjust the soil's pH. Just make sure to use a small amount to avoid harming the plants. Wishing you great success in caring for your plants! 🌱

Thank you for your observation! 😊 That’s correct-some of the plants in the video may have never bloomed. These are often younger plants or ones that have been stressed and haven’t reached the conditions needed to flower. With proper care and nutrition, I believe they will bloom in the future. If you’d like tips on how to encourage orchids to bloom, I’d be happy to share! 🌺

HOW MANY TIMES @ WEEK? MONTH? YEAR? DO YOU USE BLACK TEA & 2 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA IN 5 LITERS OF WATER?? pls & thnx ?????
@Happinessgarden66610 күн бұрын
Using black tea and baking soda in water can be a method to help keep plants healthy and prevent some diseases. However, you should use this method moderately to avoid overloading the plant with nutrients. Frequency of use: You can use this solution about once a week. Note: Keep an eye on your plant and adjust the frequency if you notice any abnormal signs. Recipe: Mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda in 5 liters of water, and use it to water the plant's roots or lightly spray the leaves.

😢can it be used to other plants or maybe vegetables?
@Happinessgarden66613 күн бұрын
Absolutely! Natural fertilizers can be used for many different types of plants, including vegetables. Ingredients like banana peels, apple peels, coffee, or ginger are very effective in providing nutrients to the soil and helping plants grow strong. Especially for vegetables, natural fertilizers ensure safe and clean produce. If you have any questions on how to use them for vegetables, feel free to ask! 🌱

Hi, i have a question.. what do i do with all the roots extension that grow out so long out of the pot… can i cut them an replant them? Thanks
@Happinessgarden66612 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question! 😊 Orchid roots often grow out of the pot in search of moisture and air. If these roots grow too long, there’s no need to worry, as they can help the plant grow stronger. However, if you want to trim them, you can cut any damaged or old roots. Just avoid cutting too many roots, as the plant needs them to absorb nutrients. Alternatively, you can repot the plant into a larger pot to give the roots more space to grow.

Baking soda and Tea? seriously?
@Happinessgarden66610 күн бұрын
Thank you for asking! 😊 You might be a bit surprised to hear about using baking soda and tea for orchid care, but these are natural methods that many people swear by. Baking soda can help adjust soil pH and control fungi, while tea (especially black or green tea) can provide some natural nutrients to the plants. However, it's important to use them carefully and not overdo it, as too much could have the opposite effect.
