“Just stop oil” so why are you: -Using oil paint -Wearing clothing made from oil. -Eating greasy food -Wearing shoes -Using glue -Slashing rubber tires which requires replacement and hence more use of oil. -Hold up signs made with oil -blocking traffic which burns more oil -ending up in the hospital which uses oil to fix you up. The list just goes on.

Btw no one said we can't use oil. "Just stop oil" is a slogan, and it's not meant to be taken literally, just like "defund the police" isn't. But it does mean we have to eliminate fossil fuels to get out carbon emissions to zero and then negative.

The worst part is that their campaign is counter productive and driving people away. My cousin works in oil and tells me that companies and Govt. often cuts corners, use illegal mining methods and effs up the environment to make profit. So, there are actually real questions to be asked and oil companies need to be kept accountable. Such protests are so counter productive that it seems like the very same oil companies have funded them to make a mockery out of the industry's accountability! :D
