I love the artists at Capcom in the 90s when it came to character design.

I never knew who Hayato was until I saw him in Marvel vs Capcom 2. Star Gladiator is definitely one of their lesser known IPs, just like Rival Schools. That manual looks crisp enough to have the "new manual smell." Lol. Awesome vid, man. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

it was nice to see Hayato for the first time in MVC2.

I always used to get this game mixed up with Soul Edge/Soul Blade back in the day lol

I have a lot of love for this series, the second game in particular, and I'd love to see it make a return in one form or another. Hell, I'd be happy if Capcom even just decided to throw Hayato back into the MvC mix.

Aw man, one of my favourite PSone fighter. I really enjoyed it and also think it deserved more love than it actually got. Love the soundtrack of the first one. Has this unique cheezy space synth rock style to it, which I really enjoy.

Excellent video, Mr. Bracey. I always thought Star Gladiator was really under appreciated as well. And you’re right about the sound track of Star Gladiator also, it was really memorable. There was one track in particular, I believe it was the “Laboratory Stage”, a stage with blue-green hues to it, anyway that track always made me think of the moment in Dune when Paul kills Feyd and becomes the Kwisatz Haderach and the rains fall down on Arrakis and everyone is like WOAH whatta baddazz moment!!! Hayato was an excellent character design too, very 80s w the steel head-plate thing and ripped sleeves. Sorry for the long comment but I wanted to share my thoughts w someone who can appreciate them. Bracey man, you have a web presence that is very articulate and calming. Your content and commentary is solid and very chill to watch. Plz keep doing what you do man. Much respect.

I almost used "Laboratory Stage" in this video as a matter of fact. Thanks for the super nice comments too - I'm always very appreciative of the folks that take the time to watch; being that this channel has always been kind of old-school by design. Some people just seem to really get it and that's awesome.

I acually own Plasma Sword for the dreamcast sure it's not as deep as Soul-calibur but the game is a lot of fun to play and the mechanics work really well.

I've always had a great deal of fun with both games. Cool atmosphere, great soundtracks and just enjoyable to play.

Games that Capcom forgot Star Gladiator, Power Stone and Rival Schools, all top notch games, I sadly don't ever see these games coming back, but hey at least we can boot up these classics anytime we want.

These were good games overall. Certainly another series Capcom should look into reviving. Heck, a compilation or re-releases on modern platforms would do. Same with Power Stone.

Yeah, Powerstone 1 & 2 only getting that PSP re-release is a bummer. Would work great with online play. Rival Schools is probably the one I'd want to see back the most, but Star Gladiator is a close second.
