Excellent points, I often find myself going to replace a ball if I accidentally touch it at address, it’s difficult to train yourself not to replace it, at least for me.

One of the dumbest rule modifications ever. Everytime someone monkeys with one rule, 1 million arguments ensue, ultimately driving people away from the game.

I've never heard of a final stroke rule. And I'm pretty good with knowing the different nuances in just about all rule sets.

I believe it comes down to affecting the shot.

@@DrawShotTV it's just something I've never heard of it. I've played in Valley, APA and USAPL (BCA rules) out of the major sanctioned leagues. And not one of those rules says anything about it being a foul when you touch another ball on the final stroke. The only thing that matters is if the cue ball was touched.

@@ThePrufessa If you clip the ball on your final stroke in a professional tournament (cueball fouls only) they will call a foul. I can’t speak to what every league operator does all over the country.

Where do you find the documentation for these fouls? I’ve read many rule books and have not seen them. If you’re going to call someone on them you have to be able to back it up.

I apologize, I don’t own a rule book. I’ve just spent a lot of time around one of the better and well known refs in the world and picked up some things.

Thank you for making this video I finally got proof which I tell people all the time then you are definitely committing a foul but when they tournament director comes up and says no it's not to foul and I'm like bro you run a tournament but yet you don't know the and then they say it's cue ball fouls only but then I tell them that's exactly what they just did I tried to explain to them I have played with professionals before and I got numerous fouls called on me because I didn't know but now I do and I was just trying to educate them but again thank you sir

I’ve played in many tournaments where the TD didn’t know the rules. It says a lot about how dysfunctional pool is lol

What rules are you referring to? This CSI/BCAPL rule (situation 4) seems to NOT concur with what you are saying when shooting over a ball, so long as the moved ball does not contact the cue ball during the action of the shot. "Figure 10-11 applies to Situations 3-5. Player A is bridging over the 3-ball while shooting at the 10-ball and disturbs the 3-ball by accidentally contacting it with the cue during the forward stroke of the shot. Multiple outcomes are represented. The inset is detailed in Figure 10-11a. 3. Situation: The 3-ball touches the cue ball. Ruling: Foul under Rule 1-33-7-c. 4. Situation: The 3-ball does not contact the cue ball but moves along the line of the shot and comes to rest as indicated in figure 10-11a. The cue ball moves along path C-1. Ruling: No foul. Player B elects options in accordance with Rule 1-33-3."

John is a HORRIBLE ref. Blows one or two shots a tourney. Knows the rules sure. Paying attention or standing in the right position is not his best skill.
