Just Three Things is a brilliant third-act accompaniment to Gervais' previous genius! A perfect fusion of Brent's bungling songwriting with Millman's unhealthy desire to be lauded. It's really clear that Gervais has been at the forefront of everything he's ever created -- if he hadn't have been, we'd have seen a severe decrease in quality since the glory days!

Brilliant series. It's got everything. I finally got to see Ricky Live in Leeds with Super Nature. It was class 👏 I've told my story on another channel if you've had a shit Xmas and need cheering up. It's a long story, so you might be instantly turned off, but it's a true story and if you need cheering up, read this..... When I was 38 (2014) I was staying at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds while we were at the Leeds festival and I collapsed and woke up about a month later. I'd been in Induced coma. Keep reading, it's not a pity story, I'm just setting the scene. Anyway cut a long story short, I had Endocarditis, which caused a huge abscess covering my heart and ruining my aortic valve, so I needed 3 different heart ops in one with a triple bypass etc. I died 3 times and it was touch and go. Anyway they operated on me and against all odds of about 30 percent, I survived (obviously). My mates used to call me dug up Dan cause I had several brushes with death, but kept coming back to life. That's the extreme banter you can have with your best mates though, Isn't it?? 🤣 Anyway I was in hospital for around 6 months recovering and suffering with a few complications. Every day I got to know the routine. What time they came for the blood tests, blood pressure, swapping the drips, Consultant times etc. One Day, this nurse came in my room (I had my own room in case of infection, I had it pretty cushty), he read my notes and said, "Ah you're from Burnley, I'm from near your neck of the woods. I'm Timothy from Bury, but just call me Tim". He wasn't the usual pleasing to the eye woman nurse who normally came in the morning. Then he said, "Have you ever had your prostate tested? I thought, it's my fuc#ing heart, not my arse. Anyway, I'd really had enough of months of being poked and prodded by the brilliant staff. They were only doing their job and a great one at that. However I just lied and said, "Yea I had it done about a year ago". Anyway, he said, "Well I'm sorry mate, I know it's not pleasant, but I'm under orders to check yours, we don't want anything else happening and when you finally go home you'll be brand new. Begrudgingly I assumed the position he asked and he fingered me (He didn't even spit on his finger the rotten bastard) 🤣 . So he did what he had to do and bid me good day and wished me luck. My parents came round later, one of my best mates brought them all the way from Burnley as much as he could while I was in hospital. After a good few months in hospital I found conversation really hard, even with my mates when they came. So they were asking how my day had been and I didn't say anything about Tim from Bury, cause I knew my mate Smithy would rip me for getting fingered in the ass, so after their visit when they'd gone, a few nurses came in and asked me if anyone had been. So I told them my Parents and my pal and I said "And this is really embarrassing, but Tim from Bury popped in to check my prostate ". They looked at me and said (And this is a true story) "Who's Tim from Bury?" I went berserk, I said "I don't know, you sent him in!!" They looked at each other with an uneasy look and said, we'll be back in a minute..... So this was probably the longest few minutes of my life. Who was Tim from Bury. Was Bury a Euphemism for what he did with hi finger in people's arses? I'd been abused!! Was he just walking round the wards with a white coat on popping his finger where he fancied? Then the Nurses came back in the room with Tim from Bury!!! He was working for an agency and was only there for that day. I didn't tell anyone this story for a few years. I do see the funny side now. If it was one of my mates they'd never hear the end of it. ... So now I'm sharing it with my fellow Gervais fans. If you've had a shitty Xmas it might hopefully cheer you up. Peace and love for the new year to you and your families from Burnley Lancashire. And if Tim from Bury is reading this, then next time I'll struggle a little to make it better 😉
