@actividadesdiversasnoespec32282 жыл бұрын
@@GoodJuju.8D I don't think OP suggested that Ricky believes in whatever nonsense QAnon types have to say. We have to agree that Hollywood is a shady place at best, not as QAnon makes it up to be, but it is a place where people like Cosby, Weinstein, Polansky and many other big shots can blackmail young actors and take advantage of them. The brilliance of Ricky's performance at the Golden Globes is - in my opinion - that he points out the hypocrisy of the famous Hollywood actors that preach about equality and social justice while at the same time keep quiet about sexual abuse they've witnessed, know about or suspect, or openly support people like Roman Polansky. Again, there is no elite cult of pedophiles who drink the blood of children, but there actually is a power structure that allows mostly older men and women to have absolute power over the career of a young actor or actress. And the extent to which that power is and has been abused in the past will never be truly known.

Mahatma Gandhi often walked barefoot which produced an impressive set of callouses on his feet. He also ate very little, making him quite frail. And with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him a super calloused, fragile mystic, hexed with halitosis!

Yes. I was disappointed when he said Churchill was a hero ! He was a racist, classist genocidal maniac and a drunk. Gandhi was far from ok too. He betrayed Dr. Ambedkar and the Dalits and made racist comments about blacks in South Africa.

@KZbinrs fan And dj too Churchill the myth is great. But really so much of what we 'know' today is just that. Myth. Did you know his famous 'We shall fight them on the beaches ' speech was never heard directly from him by the British public ? He made it in the Houses of Parliament and it was transcribed and then read by a BBC news announcer. His speech on Singapore was greeted with general dismay. A lot of his speech was slurred and people, rightly or wrongly thought he was drunk. He had government advisors who got him to tailor his speeches to appeal to the Americans. Amongst his crimes was the notorious sending of the Black and Tans into Ireland. He has been largely recreated as a National hero. He certainly wasn't a coward and saw action but he was hated as much or more so than loved in his own time.
@luckydave3283 жыл бұрын
@KZbinrs fan And dj too Gandhi falsely raised the hopes of the Dalits that their grievances would be addressed and rectified in order to get their support and that of their leader Dr Ambedkar (aka The Greatest Indian) and then betrayed them. That is one of the reasons they are still oppressed today. He didn't invent their oppression but he helped to perpetuate it.

@Just Thinking there are many war stories in which suffering people joke and are lighthearted, even till their death. Often humor is used to deal with trauma, and bring real problems to light in a public setting because humor gets people's attention.
