Shaky cam wasn't as bad this time, but I prefer the stationary camera angles when you're doing the lifts. Keep up the great work boys

This is so much better than the other video. Handheld cam is fine for when you guys are talking and then cutting to the fixed camera for the lifts is perfect.

Your discussion on adductors and the advantages/disadvantages of knee wraps, all excellent, and have made training points I have heard and witnessed in the past a lot more clear now. Your random discussions in these sessions result in occasional gems that will help someone in your audience. Keep up the good work!

As someone that has beat the drum the last few videos complaining about the camera work, my compliments this time. Much, much better. It's fine to mix in the close up stuff periodically, but the overwhelming majority being close, moving shots was annoying. And the banter with the cameraman was much better and felt less forced this time. It's good to remember Zack and Dylan are the stars but the occasional questions and such worked and flowed this time. Oh, and sweet clean cold (x2) my dude.

@@zacktelander That's awesome. Always working on your craft. :) I love this series. It's just so damn good. I click the link as soon as I get the notification. As a shitty CrossFitter that can't do Oly lifting for shit, I just love to listen and try to incorporate the knowledge you drop. And even if I don't learn anything (which I do) it's still entertaining as F.

Looking for some advice. For someone who isn't a competitive weightlifter is it worth buying an expensive needle bearing bar or is something like a Rogue Training Bar sufficient? I'm looking for a WL specific bar. Currently I'm using a Rogue Ohio Bar. If it's worth spending the additional 💲 I'm ok saving a bit longer. Probably looking at the Rogue Boneyard since I have 2 from their already and their rejects are better than what most companies call first quality.
@Grassybottom Жыл бұрын
get a regular olympic training bar, don't need a comp spec barbell for general training
@mateodiorio7663 Жыл бұрын
recently I started training with a WL barbell, I can tell you the difference. First of all they are thinner they 28mm diameter so they can isolate as well what is something important for the jerk when it gets heavy enough, they spin a loooot more they can get more momentum. But if you just do it for fun and not for lifting heavy for a competitive purpose you have no need to buy it
@retardno002 Жыл бұрын
Had 3 bars so far, my next one is an Eleiko. Don't want to hate on any brands here, the main feature to look for besides spin is the springiness of the steel. That makes a big difference on hip contact regardless of weight. You want a steel that bends but springs back, stay away from power lifting bars and make sure you get a springy one. You can smack it with your hand and check out if it vibrates nicely.
@nathanmcintire5956 Жыл бұрын
The training bar is great, unless you're elite you can't tell a difference. It's a great bar, 28mm diameter, good knurling and spin, and as whippy as the $1500 eleiko I lift on
