Ameya Pathak, Agad is often saying Morphy was only as great as he needed to be; that he was never properly challenged. I think that is right and if Morphy had chess.com with ratings and such he would have improved as a player and earned some ridiculous 2800 rank or whatever the top players have. It’s just speculation, but fun.
