Hey guys be very cautious here, me and my friends are in this hotel during this week, don’t get me wrong, the hotel is great (location,food, close by beach…) but this is (at least this week) like grandpa land, if you still have a gram of life and youth in your body don’t come here unless the next step in your life is going to retirement home. Please call the hotel and ask for the average age of the people in the week you come, all the rest is outstanding but please imagine getting out of the Riu partys and you get back to your hotel and you get fully depressed because all what you see around is 60+ people. Please consider getting to Riu Republic in case you want to still feel young, might not be the best hotel and have its drawbacks but you will not feel the death stealing your life away.

James. Me and the wife were at the Macao first week of June for our anniversary and I gotta tell ya we love the resort. After visiting 6 or 7 different RIU properties we feel that its our favorite by far. It’s the perfect home base for a great Punta Cana vacation

Would love to see you review the Sanctuary Cap Cana. Looks like such a unique property with the castle suites and pool. And they have a Sanctuary Town with cool little restaurants and bars that is part of the all inclusive program, in addition to all the other regular restaurants on the property.

I was here at the end of August with my wufe. We stayed at the Elite Club swim up. Lol just be mindful to keep the cheek clapping events in the room and not in the swim ups. I walked on a couple getting it in 😅

We really like RIU Palace Macao. Went twice after refurbishment, some of the rooms might have some issues with ac/humidity but reception should be able to swap your room if you need. Restaurants are really nice, service same, beach area is amazing. Now we will go to Riu Palace Bavaro just few days after reopening, hopefully I will have same nice experience as we had in Macao. Also we really like your videos, always waiting for the new one 🎉

I would really be interested in what you find out. Excellence Punta Cana is at the top of most lists. I find with Riu you compromise in order to get the Party Zone access - which is incomparable. No one offers anything close to it. Whatever you do - dont settle for Republica, if Riu Palace Macao is considered the better option (and I believe that is what James is saying) go with it. I am not a fan of República UNLESS you are someone looking for a spring break experience.

I think it's hard to compare Excellence since that's on another level, food, service, experience. But the vibe there is subdued nothing like what James showed here. This looks worthy of a flyer and I will definitely repost here. But this looks super fun and probably half the price.

I’ve been all to multiple adults only AI and Riu Palace Macao has it all! I always thought RIU was bottom tier but I was wrong ! I went for a birthday girls trip and I literally had the time of my life ! At first I was skeptical and was immediately turned off by the key card but the food and vibes made up for it. It’s a perfect balance of lux on a budget. The parties were LIT! I’m so glad we picked Macao over Republica. We snuck a few friends from Republica one night for dinner/drinks and they loved it. The staff were all AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back!

I was at the pink party last Saturday. It was 🔥🔥. Shortrib at the French restaurant was 👌. Buffet was great. Great crowd at Macao! Plenty of crowds of all ages, not just young partygoers like republica. Met tons of people in my area. Drank all day, every day. Stay hydrated!

I don't think I've ever seen you happier at a Riu property. This looks nice. The food looks good and the room. The one reason I have not stayed at a Riu property yet, even though I am tempted is because of the pool game. Their pools are small, Rectangle have no character and usually no shade. This one seems to be better but is a far cry from the luxurious resort style pools with lots of trees or Bridges, water treatments, waterfalls, slides and places where you could actually find shade. When you've been baking all day in the sun, they need to improve their pools if they want to get me at a Riu property. Otherwise I would be at this one. 100% So glad that they dropped the $1 blackjack table Las Vegas style. The eyesore of the neon pink, purple, red and orange are ginally GONE!!!! 🥳

Hey James.... wanted to book Macao Nov 7th to 11th but sold out.... been to Republica 6 times and it's gotten so run down. Last November went to Riu Palace Punta cana... better food but too quiet other than the Riu Parties. Do you know anything about the renovated Riu Palace Bavaro? Any other recommendations for 3 guys looking to get away and have some fun.... looked in Cancun and almost all the Rius are sold out that weekend too.

Loved it but we are not ones to do the riu parties. Do you still recommend the macao because honestly this looks like it is the nicest riu out there! Look forward to your reply. I just left there for my Vow Renewal and we were there for 7 days.. My whole group of family all had issues. I was so disappointed. The food was good. The SteakHouse was the BEST OF the Food. Breakfast was better than dinner. We had a swim up room which we loved, but others guest of mine, didn't have A/C or it wasn't clean. I wish I had this experience you had.

don't bother with Punta Cana mate. It's horrendous and very boring. Nothing to do outside the resorts and the resorts can be hit and miss.
