This video required three weeks of nonstop editing, which is the reason for my two week hiatus. I shoot mostly .265, and still amassed over 1tb of footage. All of it was done with a smile... At first glance this property looks basic, but the offerings are infinite, the model is bespoke, and each resort is massive, providing unique standalone experiences geared to the underlying guest. Each day, I found more and more to do, and I'm unsure that anybody could truly and properly and legitimately dive into both and partake in everything, in a week.! (Now a human Labrador.. .most probably could.) My point: Canadians, Britains, and Euros rejoice! This one will keep you interested and energized well into week 2. Bonus question: what song was the intro sampled from?

Loving the extended content, love the food and drink choices, that room is a great floor plan, and watching you glisten in the water … well you’re 🔥! I booked our honeymoon at the Serenade All Suites (Adults side). We're heading there on October 3! When doing research, I used many of your reviews as an indicator for what resorts to look at, check prices for, and eventually book. Despite you not having released a review for this resort at the time of booking, there was something so majestic about this place via the pictures I viewed, the reviews that were left, the videos posted online, and the general feel for the resort. Being honest, it felt too good of a place for you not to eventually review! Let me tell you, when I saw your upload, and that it was 45 minutes long, I knew I was in for something good. I've never clicked on a video faster! @@tiaragolden6942 honestly, there aren't many negatives to be said about this place. It checks most of the boxes! Lovely staff, great service, great food (really surprised us at how good the food is at each restaurant and the buffet). You do not feel crammed trying to find seats at either of the pools and the beach, a big plus! Family side is fun to visit for shows at night as well. The one con, which I must report, and this is really the only one, is that there are no carpets in the rooms, so you hear a lot of noise from neighbours and the housekeeping staff when they do their rounds in the morning. We had particularly noisy neighbours and asked to switch room and they did that without issues. The noisy neighbours isn't a knock on the hotel, that's just bad luck. If you can get past the noisiness of the rooms in general, then this place is A++.

I just stayed here on the family side back in June and I loved it.. had a beautiful room right below the sky deck.. the only thing i noticed was that the service was just.. okay. Didn't venture to the adult side because the family side had everything I needed.. Glad to hear you enjoyed this property because for the right price, I would come back there in a heartbeat.

Great video as usual James. We stayed at Serenade All Suites in January and had mixed feelings too. Loved the pools, bars, Koi (Asian) and buffet, but hated the food at the other restaurants. If they could upgrade the restaurants, we would go back. Heading to Excellence PC next January based on your review.

I'm so eager to visit this place in the new year. The rooms and smaller footprint is what drew us to it. I didn't see you mention anything about the theatre on the family side, did you visit it? Also, I've heard conflicting things about the air conditioning at this resort. Did you find the air in the restaurants adequate? I trust your reviews and if you say this one is great than I'm gonna believe you. :) Thanks for putting my mind at ease, that we've made a good choice. ESPECIALLY THE ROOSTERS🤣 if they improve the food & increase the price even slightly to compensate.. it would be amazing. we went with a big group and i wish i was able to go with a smaller group to experience better service. we have a poor run in because we wanted to sit together. oh well! thank you for the great video. never clicked faster enough!

Hey hey Mr James! Definitely a great property . Loved the room and bathroom. Pool areas were excellent. Not sure I’d venture too much to the kids pool as kids are my kryptonite lol . I've decided to book this resort solely because of this video, so thanks for your hard work in putting it together! Current packages I am seeing have a swim-up room in the Serenade Punta Cana side slightly cheaper than a tropical view room (non-swim up) on the Serenade All-Suites side. My wife and I want a quiet and relaxing week away from the kids, so leaning towards All-Suites adults only. But that swim up room on the family side is tempting. Any advice? I understand that if you've booked the family side you are not able to use the adults only pools, restaurants, etc.

Great video as always! You didn't mention Preferred club. I assume you had preferred club as you had access to the roof top pool bar etc?? Is it a worth while upgrade? Also I didn't notice much premium liqour at the bars? The martini party seemed to have premium booze and I noticed at one of the bars off to the side they had full bottles of Tito's, Don Julio, Goose, Patron, Hennessy etc but there appeared to be a price list on the bar in front of it. I assume those were full bottles for purchase like way too many resorts do now? I did a quick search online and the difference from a regular tropical view room to a preferred club ocean front room was about $470/person/week (Canadian $) That's pretty good because many preferred clubs are $100/day/person without the ocean view/front upgrade.

Big question for you. Have stayed at Secrets Royal Beach and it was stunning (even with snafus with extras/amenities missing when we upgraded). Going back soon and would love a comparison/suggestion between Serenade and Live Aqua and Excellence. You make all of them sound amazing.

Not sure why people are amazed that there are people in the nightclubs on sundays and weekdays. Everyday is a saturday on vacation. There are new people arriving every day and people checking out. Also wondering if the adult pools are acessable by all adulrs.

We were there at the adult side last year in November just a couple months after they opened. It was okay, but definitely very frustrating. The piano bar and rooftop bar are awesome and they have the best bartenders. MOST frustrating is the dinner reservation system. There are only 2 restaurants on the adult side, and they don't require reservations, however if you want to dine at the family side you do. You have to go to guest services EVERY morning and HOPE you get a reservation. After literally waiting an hour EVERYDAY they will tell you they "requested' a reservation for you but no guarantee. Wasted sooo much time with this frustrating process. Don't think we'll be back.

The video is very dark. Were you trying to upload HDR version? KZbin is very picky for HDR.

KZbin decides if it's hdr, not me. I shoot HLG, so google and your tv make the decision on what displays best. Some scenes were dark because it was cloudy, at the end of the day, 2 am with no lights etc. I'm not going to intensely color grade mg videos because that borderline misrepresents the experience. I can up some highlights - sure. Will I make a dark dreary room look radiant, or change a cloudy day into a radiant sunny One. No. If the intro is dark, I promise the issue is with your settings.

@@Coolist Great video, but you need to re-encode it. Stick with SDR unless you know what you're doing. I tested it on an OLED TV, iPhone 15 Pro, and my computer. There's no HDR, just a garish, low-quality video. I've experimented with uploading HDR to KZbin, and as I mentioned before, it's tricky unless you edit and upload it from an iPhone. That seemed to work.
