@@johnjeffreys6440 Probably because keeping an eye on all of them without having them destroy the truffels they might find could be hard. He had only one dog with him and he basically lost 50% of the findings. That's what I assume is the reasoning. And maybe once there are more than one they become more interested in playing than sniffing out mushrooms. 😁

As an avid mushroom hunter, this was so informative! My family and I just go after chanterelles, penny buns, morels and we get super excited if we stumble upon chicken of the woods, cauliflower or Hericium. Thank you Alex!

Pavlov's positive reinforcement. An excellent training program for all animals. Police dogs, sheep dogs and even bees do it nowadays. They are programmed to recognise nasty things at airports. Love the video...

I'm 40 and was just now educated on "truffles". I thought truffles was some kind of chocolate candy for some odd reason LOL.. And you have to dig them up! I thought that was really cool!!! got a kick out of that.. great video! thanks!

So interesting! Yes, Istria, I had truffle pasta there many years ago! That was the first time I tasted truffle, it was very delicious and rich in aroma. Istria is a very beautiful and peaceful place. love it!
