Enjoyed the much colder days lately, looking forward to me and also got some needed rain recently, need more in Florida, be warm and safe really could be great if rain is sent to Southern CA with the wildfires so sad hearts go to all there in recovering.

Very well spoken, scientific explanation of the polar vortex. I study climatology so I already understand what it is, but a lot of people do not. Glad you don't just yell it to the rooftops just to get everyone excited like so many meteorologists do. Better to accurately just explain what's going on instead just pointing look COLD AIR!!!

I HATE IT 🤮🤮🤮🤮😡😡😡😡 I DO NOT believe heat is the number one weather killer. Winter cold is way deadlier than summer heat it is. I will REFUSE to stay indoors in the summer no matter how hot it is.

@matthenagan8189Күн бұрын
Hey, could you explain something to me? Jan 20 and 21, it certainly will be cold enough, even for me in southern MS. My temps show 35 degrees for two days straight. Models were hinting at a potential snow storm but now from what I'm hearing, it will be so cold that it will end up suppressing all the moisture and pinning it down in the Gulf of Mexico. Is this true and if so what needs to happen to get some snowfall out of this for the southern states like the boot of LA and on upward. With snow it's always one thing or another, it's either too warm or cold enough but no precipitation. Now I'm hearing it's too cold for moisture, it sounds like a dam if you do and damn if you don't situation.
@just_weatherКүн бұрын
Have to hit the sweet spot! It’s tough. It’s not cold to snow but a lot of times the cold follows the moisture. For it to snow in the south the could already has to be in place and then the moisture follows. Models will do flip flopping that far out so can’t put any credibility into them with small details like snow. If that makes sense! - Jonathan

that was a 136 year cyclical hard freeze...the last one like that was in the 1800's. happens every 135 years or so. Galveston Bay froze over and Houston got 24 inches of snow.
