Pete and Hilary, Thank You both for bringing us along on the spring tradition of releasing the Cows and Heifers into the Spring , Summer Fall Pasture . I really like your idea of utilizing the 25 acres of grassland in 5 acre rotational sections . Which allows the pasture land some to rejuvenate itself. The important task is keeping the electric fence fully operational with frequent patrols.

It's a real pleasure to see the cows and calves going out on fresh pasture in the spring. I did mine today on the second new pasture, last week was my first time. They sure do kick up their heels, fun to watch. Good luck for the up and coming differences in the chores, it changes with the seasons and for me that is the best.
