Pete, I got a joke for ya. There was these two farmers talking about cattle prices. The one farmer says "I can remember when in 1973 I took ten steers to market and sold them and then I went to town and bought a brand new 1973 pickup truck with the money from the steers. The other farmer responds "I can still sell ten steers and buy a 1973 truck with the proceeds from selling the steers.". LOL. Hope you got a chuckle out of that one, Pete! I always did!

my uncle had a baby piglet pass out one time. He asked my dad (fireman)... "what should i do?" Dad told him "well if it was a person you would elevate the feet and keep them warm". So he did that and in a minute the piglet came to and ran up to his mama and voiced his opinion to the whole ordeal and then everything was normal. Too Funny.

Great video! And of course, I love the little piglets and cattle, and chickens. It warms my heart to see you go check on the cattle....and, wallah! A new calf. Cute little female. Red was the perfect color for your wagon....I chuckled when you had the picture black and white.................You are a tease. The boxes of beef products had me lapping my chops. Yummy! So nice to see Hillary out there, working with you,.. YOu are a great team. Take care, and God Bless. Bev in Maine.

Ya know what might be interesting after you move the piglets into the brush pen? Take a picture every couple of days and GIF-ify it so we can see how it goes from overgrown to bare. I know you'll be busy with doing actual farm things, but it's something I thought of the last time you put piggers outside like that. 😁
@avahightower46852 жыл бұрын
I knew you would pick red. :) As always, thoroughly enjoyed your video today... great news on the flies, the new calf, and how fast you can get those piglets castrated! I can tell you hate causing them pain, but they are in the best of hands, the best of care, yours and Hilary's. You are both so good to them all. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. Thank you and Hilary both for the way you share your lives with us. It teaches and encourages just as much as it entertains and moves the soul; makes us smile and allows us to touch a deep, natural instinct inside each and every one of us, that sense of peace and contentment that comes from living life in the simple, fulfilling way that it was mean to be lived.

I ended up with 2 gallons of top of the line, exterior paint for $1/ gal years ago in - cotton candy pink. I watched this mis-matched paint reduce in price over time before buying; someone grabbed an external base rather than interior for a little girl's bedroom. There was some reluctance to use cotton candy pink in the home front too but, you will find the underside of a shed we built in pink and, at $1/ gal it worked fine as a primer outdoors.
