Locking fencing behind a high skill wall and a perk, in a game where leveling up non-combat skills is extremely counterproductive unless you break it first. The problem is not that though. 41:07 This is called being "digitigrade"! All birds and many mammals are digitigrade - you'll notice that dogs and cats have this same structure but less dramatic than most birds. It's generally faster than the alternative (plantigrade, where your heels touch the ground). I think birds are just kinda stuck that way evolutionarily, even if they don't run anymore because it evolved a long time ago in the theropod dinosaurs that they evolved from. Most lizards, however, are plantigrade so it probably makes more sense for argonians to have flat feet, and more for khajiit to have the "backwards knees" like they also do in Morrowind.

It's so funny looking at an elephant's skeleton. These hulking behemoths are tiptoeing across the savannah. They just have really fat feet. My personal theory is the Hist mutated the pre-argonian lizards to look a bit like Khajiit so they'd fit in with the other races of Tamriel. If they looked to human, it'd be uncanny, so they used the most humanoid beastfolk as reference. That's why female argonians have breasts. Why'd they pick Suthay-Raht over Ohmes? I dunno.
@JarethS3 ай бұрын
@@JustBackgroundNoise I think that might actually have been canon at one point. In ESO it's mentioned how the Hist sort of made them servile to help spread them across Nirn as servants and slaves to gather information and send it back to the trees. But while the khajit eventually got an in-lore explaination for the devs not wanting to use that model anymore, I don't think the argonians ever did beyond handwaving it as the Hist being able to mold them as it wishes.

Archer Skeletons are so difficult because their arrows are pulled from a leveled list, and that level list can spawn Dire type arrows at level 4. That’s 1-20+5-11 damage (or 6-31) since weapon damage actually is a random roll for enemies. For comparison, an Ogrim deals 11-33 damage. They don't have the Ogrim's speed or to hit problems. The l_m_wpn_missle_arrow setup is arguably a bug, or at least an oversight. It gets new items at 2, 3, and 4 with a single near identical item (Dire Viperarrow, like the flame/shard/spark versions added at 4 but poison and thus worse) added at 7. Compare this to the other l_m_wpn_??? level lists which get new items at at almost every level 1-18 and it immediately stands out as weird.

Would it be possible to figure out all the stats - resistances, skills, attributes, movement speed, etc of a mudcrab, and then begin the game as the humanoid embodiment of a mudcrab? I've done some research, and apparently they are summed up as such: 1-5 damage per attack 15 hp can (with diseases or perhaps in your case, spells) drain: 10-20pts of strength, or separately 10-20pts of endurance perhaps you could say that (based on their meat) they have a medium resistance to shock, decent stamina, and a lightning shield spell? I'm sure more info could be gathered through the creation kit. If the idea interests you I wouldn't mind looking into it lmao.

32:07 Fun fact, the 'Smith' of Vvardenfell (excluding Great House names, which are very common in ESO with Hlaalu alone having 31) is Sadri, with 20 total across all games. In Morrowind specifically, it's Andrano with 13. Sadri is interesting because it's a Dunmeris word we actually have a translation for - mushroom (from Sadrith Mora, 'Mushroom Forest'). Is it possible that mushroom farmers were a common enough occupation for the name to have spread? Is it a Telvanni thing? Do Telvanni just fuck like champions? We may never know.

I was quite partial to Ross's Phantasmagoria 2 video before KZbin took it down.

This was one of your best so far. I really enjoyed that whole journey from a literal absolute nothing to a god-killer.
