This vlog, your series is what everyone should just watch concerning all the beaches in Oahu! Not to mention all the extra details, the restaurants, hikes and restrooms, etc. I’ve been watching a lot of other vlogs, till this one. This is by far the best! Great job, Guys! Thank you…I’m leaving in 3 days for my second trip there! More prepared this time!!!!

Great video - nice production touches with the labels. I wish I was back there, I love the west coast and how chilled it is. Have you ever swum out to the turtle cleaning station just off Makaha beach? It's a hundred yards or so out along the deeper channel almost straight out from where the lifeguard tower is, depth is suitable for snorkel 😊

Another beautiful and informative video! Thanks so much, as watching your videos makes me even more excited for our trip to Oahu later this year. I remember Makaha.....it is very hot and dryish in the summer. No waves then. When we turned around and started back for Waikiki, we passed that huge homeless encampment. I had been videoing the entire coastline when we drove by it and I was really scared, as some of the people there saw I was using a camera. They hopped in a couple of trucks, and closely followed us for several miles...like a “warning.” I was really scared back then, and I bet the situation is worse now. I would have to say, please be careful. Can’t wait to view your other beach videos. Thanks again for your good and obvious hard work!

Please help everyone understand, the point of this video was not to misinform. What is the correct name.? Mahalo.
@kahikohammah3 жыл бұрын
@@Livingtheglobe Everyone calls it mermaid caves since the social media boom. I’m born and raised in Nanakuli since the 80’s. I’ve only known it to be called Tunnelz or Tunnels. There is no historical information on why it’s called mermaid caves. It’s like as if you were from Rio De Janeiro Brazil and someone calling it Carnavalia. Doesn’t make sense right??!!???!!?
@Livingtheglobe3 жыл бұрын
@@kahikohammah Mahalo for your information brother, ill pass that info on. The funny thing even google has is marked as Mermaid caves. Other examples are, cockroach beach/Eternity Beach. Broke Neck Beach/Sandy Beach, China Walls/koko kai mini beach park. But good to know. Cheee!
@kahikohammah3 жыл бұрын
@@Livingtheglobe true, I checked it too but google wasn’t around in the 80’s. Sandy beach earned that nickname because of people’s ignorance as to how dangerous that beach is for people unfamiliar with wiping out safely in shore breaks. There is a technique to wiping out too.
