Still beat how my dad found out his dad was dead. On my birthday, he called his dad to schedule a visit a couple of weeks later. His stepmom answered, and he had to pry out of her that his dad was dead and buried. The thing she was most concerned with was that everything belonged to her, not my dad or any of his brothers. The new direction this channel has taken aligns so well with my own growth and outward honesty. I think y'alls humour is actually able to take more of the spotlight since it's contrasted with more serious topics and mimics what I feel is more like an actual conversation with you two. I also appreciate that you can look at your past content objectively and you were able to apologise for something (kind of) instead of brushing it under the rug or defending the mistake. I wasn't too sure how I was gonna like the new direction of the channel, even though I watch all your videos and I still enjoy them because I like both of you. But after two of them I just can't help to feel like there is new life in the channel. I know my input may not be warranted, but I really like you both and after all the iterations of this channel I am still very happy with the content. You both are amazing people, and I just want to say Thank you for all your hard work!!
@stupidlysublime7 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! My interest actually waned with the shift to sketches and I'm happy to get back to the real interesting draw of the channel: their real selves, their real friendship.
@Hannah-nh5qj7 жыл бұрын
Also I know you guys won't see my comment but I wish you knew how wonderful you both are. I was so tired of the characters, I was tired of watching you both be in pain, and try to smile through it no matter what. I love the both of you, for who you are. And a thing that a lot of people get wrong in the creative industry, is the idea that your job has to be your first passion. In reality, if your job is your only passion, you don't really have inspiration for what to make your content about. I hope you feel comfortable putting this on the back burner if you ever need. I hope you can prioritize your health and happiness above all. If you've got nothing filling you up, then you won't have anything to pour out to us. Myself, and most everybody else on this channel, feels this way. And the people who feel otherwise are most likely not invested enough to influence your prosperity at all. You have an overwhelmingly positive response rate, and you're successful enough to be able to call this your job. Goals should push you to be better, but don't beat yourself up for not being the most famous.

I just absolutely loved this video. I loved what Allison said about how bad things happened, but she doesn't regret them, and her list are regrets because she feels like they shouldn't have happened. That was an epiphany moment for me. I feel like I need to work on separating horrible experiences, that I could not have controlled, from things that I could have actually kept from happening. It's such a healthier way to look at regrets. Thank you so much Allison!!!

@nakishabauer98067 жыл бұрын
I love this vulnerability and I can appreciate people have regrets. Talking about your regrets can help you learn from them, leave them in the past, and not be burdened by guilt. When I was diagnosed with cancer at 15 I had a lot of epiphanies, one of which was to never have regrets. I remember lying in my hospital bed thinking of all the things I would have done differently and feeling an immense amount of guilt (for example, I never told my step dad I loved him simply out of bitterness...he's a wonderful man), but I thought to myself..."if I ever live through this, I won't let any moment of my life be worth regretting." Nearly 7 years later and I have made a lot of mistakes...but I don't regret them. I am especially sorry for those I may have hurt or even betrayed, but I don't let my mistakes become regrets...just growing moments. I just make sure to take time to address problems in my life to ensure that I have done my best. For example, I tell my step dad I love him every time there is an appropriate opportunity to do so. As cliché as it is, we are all humans and we all make mistakes...our friends, sisters, brothers, fathers, and mothers. We need to forgive more and fester less!

Prayer? I'd rather offer useful advice. When I get charley horses in my upper leg it sometimes means I'm just dehydrated. Drinking a couple pints of tap water while limping around the house complaining about how much it hurts usually fixes the problem in about ten minutes or so. Might also be a sign of low potassium in the body, so eating a few bananas in a short period of time helps too, but takes a little longer. Friends have suggested apple cider vinegar but hasn't helped me personally that I've noticed. Worth a try tho.

Allison, you make me feel less bad about my own regrets. Thank you for being vulnerable. I'll keep putting my foot in my mouth and when I feel awful, I'll come rewatch this video.

I really really loved your video last week and I love how "real" you guys are being. That being said, a lot of us like this channel because you guys make the relatable parts of your personality, funny and comical. I think that is important to still keep in the show. This video was incredibly relatable, but also confusing on how we are supposed to feel at times. I'm initially laughing that "GRANDMAS DEAD!" but Allison starts by laughing but then ends up being legitimately upset and actually crying that she upset her mom. As the video went on I feel it got less comical and more emotional. I think its great to add realness to the video but also keeping the comedy that we all love through out the whole thing. Love you guys! :)
