I just got my sony a7ii today! upgrade from a sony a6000. I am familiar with sony's interface. Not the a7ii though. A lot of other videos are 30 minutes long and pretty pointless. Thank you for making a great video. I also like the partial edit, leaving word fumbles and your daughter. Shows you're a genuine person. New sub :)

Man , great job man !!! I would love in you can go further and explain the 180 shutter speed rule for 24 fps on the a7II and what is the number of your ISO that you normally shoot at ? Cheers man !

22217022 Christian I’m still learning but you always double your shutter speed of the frame rate, so 24fps would be a shutter speed of 1/50 and I shoot in shutter priority set the shutter to 1/60 for 1080p 30fps and let the camera do the rest the work!

I shoot in shutter priority set the shutter to 1/60 for 1080p 30fps and let the camera do the rest the work! Should I be shooting in Manuel? And also do I need a ND filter for the Kit lens?

Having just right royally messed up my settings the other day, I'm wondering if you have any advice for shooting martial arts (as freeze frame images) on the A7ii? I got so frustrated, and couldn't think straight so I switched to auto. The scenario is that we are almost always indoors under poor light quality, and I only have the 28-70 f3.5-5.6 lens so not ideal.

Let me take a look I can’t remember if I couldn’t see it before. But I also use VLC as my default video player. It is very helpful especially when it’s a file that normally won’t play through media player. Btw VLC is free

I've been having issues with mine when it comes to getting the time lapse app (or any app for the matter), I cant use the website, maybe the whole connection thing is too old for my Mac/Safari combo and the camera itself when I try to get it from the camera itself, I keep having to log in and after I verify the account with 2 step verification it kicks me back to the begining and its an never ending loop.

Right now im still at the photography stage.. architecture comp profile.. got to save up to buy gears so I can get back shooting photography and add on videos for client. As all my nikon gear was damaged because of an accident which leaves me with a broken leg.. (it is healing btw).
