Kpop is business so it is always safer to follow a trendy formula to gain traction and profit. Then again, how many concepts or sounds can these groups splice comeback after comeback? SKZ is somewhat taking roads less traveled. I have been worried about them and feared that JYPE would take back the reign if SKZ continued to lag behind TXT, Ateez, The Boyz, and Treasure in Korea market. It took them 2 years of bumpy ride since debut to slowly coming into their own. The sales and YT subscribers got bigger. The MV production team got upgraded. The kids become more confident as a creative team (especially after Woojin left) and as individual performers. If any media calls SKZ a success, it is hard won one. These boys don’t have an explosive debut and comebacks unlike their peers and even sister group Itzy (who’s borrowing SKZ’s trophy shelf for its music show wins). My money is still on SKZ for playing a long game. These boys will never fail to convert casual observers to become STAYs

skz's growth is actually very riveting to witness. they do things rhat no other groups have done and they have their own color. rhey're not doing it for the fame or awards, they do it because they simply want to share their art. and i think thats what sets them apart from their peers - their artistry. the fact that they produce all their music is amazing too. but id like to say they never lagged behind their fellow 4th gen groups. if they weren't going forward, theyre just on the same level. but i think ever since go live was releases, it's mire prominent now how they're leading the 4th gen. the korean charts - they'll get there but they have been faring well since gods menu. they've been breaking record left and right that only big groups like bts and blackpink have done and that's such an amazing feat considering they're just two years old. and not to mention their album sales and yt views. trust that it only gets better from here. ive never doubted them. they move at their own pace and now we're seeinf the fruit of their hardwork

True. Those 2 years were so bumpy for their careers. Yet they believed to what they are capable of and not follow the trend. They set their own flavor. Its ok to have those hardships as we, STAYs and SKZ, will learn from those and we can use them to grow. Look at our achievements with this cb. Im so proud. Just gonna use this as an inspiration, just take a look at BTS history. From slump to new heights. That will be SKZ for sure. They will be the next new thing in KPOP

This was such a nice message but Stray kids is not lagging behind Ateez. out of all the groups you mention Ateez is the group that is lagging behind, there sales are good but they don't have a huge domestic fanbase and was barely able to get 5k likes on melon or 4.0 on there albums.

Tying together the doorbell sound, the creaking door with the lyrics of "authorized persons only" and the choreography of going through a door and opening a door is genius! Their mind amazes me....I love how SKZ don't go the safe way with their comebacks and I know they will always top their previous releases with the next one but really how are they going to top Back Door? Also IN生 is now officially my alltime favorite Kpop album pushing B.A.P Noir to second place! I really recommend you to check out the other MVs for the new b-sides 'Ex' is already out '아니 (Any)' and 'B Me' will follow soon. And I think you'll really like 'Ex' the lyrics give me chills and it shows a more softer side of them.

Ive been a fan of kpop since 2008 and these guys are doing great in my eyes. I feel like they are the younger versions of BTS (im not comparing) but in the sense that are involved with the dancing, the lyrics, the production, they are edgy, dorky, and very transparent with the fans, they luckily also have a good amount of english speaking members so that will help attract people. I think they have the potential to be super big because they....they already kinda are. Whenever I see a lot of reaction videos a lot of grown men love them which is a good sign. I sadly don't like all there music, like when I listen to the full albums there are usually only like 3 out of the whole thing that I like but still there singles they promote are CRAZY GOOD. You are right people need to watch out for these talented boys 😎
