Great review mate. Lovely to see the girls, and its lovely to see a teenager still wanting to spend time with her parents. Apart from Icelands Harry Ramsdens range, the last time I had Harry Ramsdens was when I was a kid, Dad would treat us to a meal out at the one in Bradford, great memories, I still cut my butter and bread in triangles to this day with Fish and chips because of the memories. How does the Iceland range compare to the restaurant?

As a Blackpool native, I've been to Harry Ramsdens all of twice in my life, and both times for a portion of chips as they were only £1.50 for a decent enough portion whilst working nearby. For a chippy, I tend to go Yorkshire Fisheries, but I'm gonna check out Tower Fisheries some time soon.

Hr not been same since they went with franchises.I used to go when I was a kid in 50"s & 60"s at there original fish shop in Guisley yorks. You should try Wetherby Whaler who are on HRs original site or Murgatroyds in Yeadon.

The fish is from a factory trawler which uses filleting machines so it's a thin fillet that's why I don't use any of the franchise shops?good review

This time of the year is the best for potato’s! Don’t be put off by the colour, that’s down to the sugar content within the potato and you are more likely to get undercooked dark chips because the sugar content is high and darkens quicker when cooking, they are removed from the oil before being fully cooked otherwise they would be black! Brilliant as always Deano, nice to see mrs and daughter Deano have chilled and have have finally accepted there dad is a you tube superstar celebrity!

Oh no that was not a large haddock , I’m from Aberdeen and can spot a mini haddock easily . I think that these places are all just franchises now , tourist traps . Only way fish is dry is if frozen and overcooked.

Harry ramsdens is not like it use to be my dad use to take us there at Guiseley West Yorkshire about 1965 ,it was a wooden hut at white cross. Proper fish and chips. All this modern stuff not the same,cooked in beef dripping beautiful

They opened a branch in Edinburgh and in a prime location.. It is as you may know you a franchise model and local busines brothers spent what must have been a fortune on the building..It opened with a huge amount of fanfare... Not sure why but IT BOMBED!!.. I went once and it was beyond average and overpriced... These guys must have lost there shirt on this!! Now a successful seafood restaurant..

Many years ago i used to love Fish & Chips from Harry Ramsden's Deano... Back then they were decent quality at fairly reasonable prices... But after their rapid expansion... Prices started to rise to pay for that rapid expansion... Then certain cost cutting measures were introduced... Their Fish got much thinner and smaller... Basic accompaniment prices started to outstrip other similarly styled Fish & Chip Shop establishments... And as Harry Ramsden's was sold many times over the years... Each new owner needed pay for their recent acquisition... So each started to push their prices up... Which sadly meant... That they were now pricing some of their own regular customers out of eating there altogether. The last time i actually dined in at any Harry Ramsden's Fish & Chips Shop establishment... Was down in Eastbourne while visiting family on the south coast... And their Fish & Chips were awful... Their Fish was also thin and dry Deano... We had to drown them in Vinegar to try and get them to go down the old hatch... None of us enjoyed them... And we've never been back to them since... And that was fifteen years ago back in 2009... I would've much preferred to pop into a seafront chippy instead pal... It certainly would've been cheaper and much better than at Harry Ramsden's my friend... And i'm sure that it will be sold again at some point in the future... And if people want to eat there and they enjoy it and the prices they charge... Then that's their free choice to make... But i'll never bother eating at a Harry Ramsden's again... They're just not that special anymore... There's far better Fish & Chip Shops out there my friend.

Hi deano I love blackpool but I won't go in Ramsdens I was in eastbourne and I nipped into Ramsden I waitress shown me to a table gave me a menu and said order at the counter I looked at the prices and I walked out I'm not paaying over the odds for fish and chips .me and my son went into an arcade and had small fish and chips with a drink it came too about 14 pound and it wasn't treasure Island we had a drink their and we watched them prepare food it was all frozen food you could of gone a greasy spoon for a better dinner xxlove fran xxxx❤❤❤❤
