When I used to have a little VW yard on the side a majority of my cars came from police auctions. People use to ask me why I bought most of the wrecked cars? Because they were most likely running when wrecked and no one bid up the wrecked ones. Like you said I could walk around the car and figure out what would sell before I would bid and where to stop.

Another Classic video Dex! No brainer to part out a unibody with that damage. Really worthwhile to know what you are thinking when you part out an XJ. Also, sell those t-shirts! I'd rock one, free advertising, LOL.

Hi Dex. Congratulations on the channel and its management :) A lot of valuable knowledge for Jeep owners :) Can you advise on one thing? After cleaning the pushers and replacing the head gasket, should you rotate the camshaft by screwing in the pushrod rods and valves? The tightening torque is important, but it varies depending on the position of the camshaft. Does it not matter at all? Thanks and greetings from Poland :)

Engine wiring harness sell because when the 331 head cracks the engine overheating is the result of. Of course the wiring harness suffers because it’s mounted to the head and cops heaps of heat and the wiring melts together. I’m replacing mine in my 2001 XJ at the moment because of the meltdown of the wiring harness. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪💪💪

Enjoy the content. Question: 2000 XJ, Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS). what would cause the wires to be cut or pinched about 1/2" or so from the sensor. I replaced it and the second one did the same thing in the same place. What could cut or pinch the wires on the CPS? I am dumb founded. Also, dropped a CPS mounting bolt, did not hit the ground. I think it is still in the bell housing somewhere. Now, I got a P0743. Torque Converter Circuit: Open or Short. Need help!
