I already have it, both in fact and I can say that there is a notable difference in audio quality and power, let's say that if the GO4 is a 10, then the GO3 would be an 8, that is my perception.

first comparison vid I see someone say the sound improvement is significant, and once I heard the samples, it is noticeable enough where I'm considering an upgrade. The design on the 3 had some flaws, the rubbers come off overtime and the speaker will have no stability on it's base, the 4 corrected those flaws

I had the go3 but it was so thin sounding compared to my clip 4 I sent the go3 back but this new go4 is comparable to the clip4 in sound and I love this new go4. Its is perfect for watching KZbin on my phone and music while out where a phone speaker is too quiet.

I got both. I think the go 3 got more bass than go 4. Only the battery and apps win for go 4. But when it comes to the sound I think the go 3 got more bass and sounds better than go 4.

Sorry but it's crazy to say the 4 obliterates the 3. There is a very slight difference in sound but you would never notice if you had just one. They sound virtually the same. The 4 wins with the app and a couple more hours of run time but either one would be fine to me.

I heard you say "stick with the JBL signature sound" setting... I'm torn between that setting and the "Energetic" setting... as to which sounds better... What are your thoughts?

The feet fell off of my Go 3, so I went ahead and ordered a Go 4! I knew I was getting a more rugged speaker, but I had no idea that I was in for such a treat with the upgraded features. I look forward to it arriving soon.

After having the jbl go 3 for the past 3 years, all the stickers came off but overall the speaker is still performing excellent. Will upgrade to the next go if the go 3 ever kicks the bucket. Go 4 looks pretty clean!

I have the 3 great colors sounds great no issues the 4 takes forever to release to the east coast June can’t wait love the new purple color and Wimbledon green you can pair them eq them a lot more to offer I have all the GO series they still sell 30+ dollars and up I love JBL they give you a lot of colors and I’m sure more colors will be released

Really, if this JBL speaker has less bass than the previous model, then for that reason alone it's worth it, because I think the bass that the JBL 3 has is an exaggeration, but it seems to me from the features I saw that the JBL 4 doesn't have any more sound power than the previous model which is a shame. In my humble opinion i think the sound is more crystal clear on the go 4 I also think the couple of little upgrades done to the esthetics do make a difference, 2 key features on the new one compared to the go 3 are the ones you mentioned about the top part where the buttons are located and the silicon strips on the bottom of the speaker
