I think she means Cubana De Aviacion, as 'Air Cubana' doesn't exist. And they have had a lot of accidents/incidents, but only had one fatal accident in the last 15yrs which puts it on par with Air France. And only 2 other non-fatal incidents. In fact American Airlines have had more incidents in the same period. SO the point is, is that I still wouldn't fly them!

But then again we have this new airlines that pop up everywhere and is cheap, but people don't stop to think where they are taking the money, labor or safety. xD

I always tell people Taht actually didn't born in South American but their parents are from there, to stop searching for roots, cause you didn't f@ born there and don't know how dangerous is, and because you look from South America doesn't mean they will not smell that developed country always lived in the city blood. Gina, I am also Nigerian and British. Sad to see you feeding negative stereotypes about Nigeria. Maybe you did have a negative experience but that should never be representative of the entire nation. People don't visit UK on a Saturday evening and then label it a country of drunken and aggressive low lives just because of the antics of some drunken people at the weekend. I am very disappointed.

That would not be the same if she said it about Sweden as it would not relate to perceptions and stereotypes though I must tell you that Stockholm has some of the worst ghettos ever. It was horrendous when I played football there many years ago and I hear it has only gotten worse. My point is that having been to Nigeria a few times, her comments are in very bad taste and do an entire nation irreparable harm by feeding negative stereotypes. She had not a single positive thing to say. What do you think it says to people who do not know better when she says she is never going back? Very sad indeed. She is a very funny lady whom I enjoy watching but this was way too disappointing. She can have a laugh about Nigeria like Stephen Amos and Andi Osho without degrading the country. I still think she is funny.

I haven't had to keep the curtains closed on my transport to the hotel or pass through metal detectors and baggage scanners to enter the hotel grounds. I can't say the same for my visits to Nigeria.

By the way I took European medical workers and their families to go and work at a diagnostic clinic in Nigeria. None of this drivel that you narrated took place. We were not briefed about kidnapping and all that nonsense. Yes it was always a risk and I was cautious but they were meant to stay for year but stayed on for three. Thank God they didn't listen to Gina or they would never have come. By the way the country is full of white folks having the times of their lives. Is Nigeria the safest place in the world?
