Now I wonder, if those conversations between Nathaniel and Justice influenced the latter to bond with Anders - which, of course, ultimately led to destruction of Kirkwall Chantry. Funny thing to think about, how small seemingly unimportant details can have catastrophic consequences

Like I said in my own comment. Context is EVERYTHING. We are learning in DA Inquisition, just how important context is. And then there is tradition. This age old way of doing things that no one argues with coz that's how it was always done. Well we are learning that that IS NOT how it was always done. Dwarfes can't even remember the Titans. And elves can't remember teh fade being a state of being rather than a dream world. And humans? They are so fresh off the press that they think Solus is the Maker. They are gonna shit a BRICK!

Yes, thank you Nathaniel. Now go sit in that corner and think hard on what you've done.

Justice becomes Vengeance. Not wrong on its own. But context is everything. And Spirits NEED context.

I choose to believe Justice spent a whole day pondering whether listening to himself was, in fact, penance.

Rendon Howe: destroys the Ferelden Circle, the Guerrin family, Redcliffe, and multiple other nobles just because he's a sadistic bastard Nathaniel Howe: Plants the idea that'll erupt Thedas into civil war for years to come just to be supportive of his friends Man, the road to Hell sure is paved with good intentions.

ehhh, i go with the solas perspective, Anders and Justice blew the lid off the jar but their was so many problems boiling inside. While the war certainly spread destruction and chaos it was most likely the only way this situation could be resolved. We could have gone on ignoring the injustice but all that would have done is continued the pile of atrocities, the war brought out the worst in both, but it did lead to resolution of a kind.

@@jeremygeller9145 That doesn't excuse Anders's actions. Just because an outcome is likely inevitable doesn't mean you're the one that needs to do it. Besides, it wasn't the same everywhere. Rivain and some smaller Circles were known for being far more lenient and open. Some even refused to participate in the rebellion. Alas, we'll never know if there was a better way, because people like Anders decide there's only one way.

THE FORESHADOWING WITH SOME OF THESE LINES AROUND JUSTICE! Also while I hate what happens near the end of DA:2, the game does show the fine line between Justice and Vengeance that’s always there.

I never knew that Justice was a physical entity. Now I understand so much more about why he needed a new host. But I wonder if Justice melding with Anders, and being exposed to Anders' anger, transformed them into Vengeance? I love that DA gives you so much to THINK about!

Probably, It makes sense with what Solas said.

Justice was originally a Fade Spirit, the same as any other. The body he ends up inhabiting in Awakening is the body of a deceased Grey Warden named Kristoff. When the Warden-Commander and his companions are transported to the Fade, they end up working with this spirit of Justice, but when the Warden-Commander is expelled from the Fade, Justice is involuntarily sent as well, and ends up in the body of Kristoff. Without knowing how to separate from Kristoff's body, and return to the Fade, Justice decides to work with the Warden-Commander and his companions. His interactions with the others appears to end up putting the idea in Justice's head that a benevolent joining with a living being would not be the same as Demonic Possession, and eventually leads to his joining with Anders. Anders' suppressed anger over the plight of Mages is pushed to the surface by Justice's need to see Justice done for the perceived injustice - however, Justice is only able to see one side of the issue, due to being in Anders' head. Anders' anger combines with Justice's lack of full context and need to assert what he believes to be Justice for mages, and Justice ends up becoming Vengeance, though he still believes himself to be Justice. I would say Justice hasn't quite become a full-on Demon by the time of Dragon Age 2, if only because he still believes he is doing the right thing. He still believes his actions to be Justice against blackest evil, and simply lacks perspective of the complete picture. The day Justice stops calling himself that, and *knowingly* pursues Vengeance over Justice will be the day he has finally fallen and become a Demon. As it stands, he is still a Spirit of Justice... but one who has been tainted by anger, and acts without understanding of the Greater Picture. Just as Anders' view of the Mages' plight and his suppressed anger have negatively affected Justice, Justice's blinding need to assert Justice has driven Anders to extreme ends that would horrify his younger self, and indeed even continues to frighten Anders even as the events unfold. He knows what Justice is doing to him, and what he's done to Justice, although he may not admit it, even to himself, unless pressed.

I do Like the Spirit Warrior class, not only for the benefits but the Idea of a warrior conected to the Fade and Spirits, but i Imagine the warrior binds himself to a Wisp spirit instead of a full developed Spirit like Justice that can change a person's Judgement, my build is Spirit Warrior/Reaver/berseker with Shield Style.
