I used to say the same thing, was a hardcore atheist for 21 years, used to love to spend time mocking the weak minded that relied on a non existent idea to comfort them. Then I saw what I could not longer deny or fight. He's very real, there is nothing that will ever happen that can remove that knowledge, He's more real than anything you've ever touched, seen or smelled.

Wow... powerful... I spent a few years working with teens and at-risk youths in the projects... and this spoken word cut to the core of some of my internal turmoil about the nature of youth work. What solutions do I have to present to the kids? I could never shake off the sense that I was teaching that the best way out of the hood was greed and independence... which ironically went against all I stood for... and low and behold, these questions eventually led me to finding the answers in Christ

He's not going to burn you, those who go to hell choose it. How we spend our lives prepares us to make that choice when the time comes. He won't send you, you would have to choose it. What I saw, what I heard, and what I continue to see only reinforces what I found out in a very real way 13 years ago. Yes, because I've seen Him, heard Him, and felt Him. And if deep down you didn't feel it to, you wouldn't be here asking to find him. The harder we fight, the harder we fall. I'm proof. :)

I'll be honest. I don't know why God did all those things. All I know is that my God is the only god out there who doesn't command me to give up everything without doing so first. I know that Jesus gave up His deity and came down to Earth. He lived his life, and died on the cross. And he bore all my sin, all your sin, all sin ever committed. He paid that price for me, knowing that I'd walk all over him. And he paid that price for you, knowing that you'd call him evil. Nothing else matters.

I find the topic of religion very interesting, I don't believe God exists but I want to hear the views of religious people and talk about those views with them. Do you think that non-believers should keep their opinions to themselves and vice versa?

I think everyone needs to hear the good news or the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most beliefs speak of an afterlife but they don't give you a hope of eternity or emphasize that your soul needs saving even from yourself. The Holy scriptures say a fool says in his on heart there is no God. Also that there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end result is death. Also for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. That he who does not believe on the name of the Son(Jesus) is condemned already. Imagine not believing all your life then when you die having to come before the judgement seat of Christ. Believers will be strictly judged so what of unbelievers all the mercy you will get is here and now so search with all your heart mind soul and body and you will find the Truth. Roll the dice man.

If you seriously want to know if He is real, then ask Him to prove it. As far as worshiping him, that is your choice. Thankfully he gave us free will to choose to love him back or not. You sound like you've been deeply hurt by people in your life and blaming God for that, tell him that you're pissed about it, He's a big boy, He can handle it. I used to say the same thing, "Prove it", that's the hard part we want to only believe what we can see. Can you see the wind? Is the wind real?
