This is a matter of procedure. There is a design life for the structure once it attains that stage it is to be decommissioned just like ships. More so in the wake that rainfall pattern has changed due to climate change phenomenon.

The bloody Dam will never withstand in the event of an earthquake above 4.5-4.9 on the Richter. Nor will it be possible to evacuate water out fast in the event of a cloud burst. Thats what happened last time and that is why TN could not stop the water level from going beyond the Supreme Court's 136ft level mark. A lot of facts have been conveniently suppressed or not taken into account.Choosing K.T Thomas for the job was an epic blunder in itself! And Justice Krishna Iyer has mentioned why.

Mr. K. T. Thomas wasn't the right choice to represent Kerala and thus the people who appointed Mr. K. T. Thomas including N. K. Premachandran deserve the blame. Former justices K. G. Balakrishnan and K. T. Thomas are good friends and now that we know about Balakrishnan, an enquiry about Thomas might reveal his irregularities. Mr. Thomas says P. J. Joseph congratulated him after the report, if so, P. J. Joseph is ingenuine and he is playing DRAMA in front of people and we can't trust him anymore!
