Sure why not! What about a masterpiece of cinema horror or something along those lines? The scariest painting? I don't see why it cant be both I am just saying the other guy was not saying that "haunting means masterpiece" thats all you, you took it that way. Nonetheless, Surely it can indeed be both, assuming can appreciate it.

You skipped over the most important part of "who benefits?" It wasn't just the killer, tangentially it was ALL of the heroes' loved ones. With a killer on the loose, the heroes didn't go out patrolling as much, preferring to stay at home with their loved ones.

The thing that you need to remember is that this story basically started the DC Universe on the path to all the hells, disasters and darkness to follow. - Batman did regain his memory at some point. That is what started turning him against the League and metahumans in general. This event is what led to him creating Brother I and the OMACs, which went on to slaughter hundreds of metas, both villain and hero. - This Crisis was also significant in that it was one of hte prme justifications that Lex Luthor-Earth 3 and Superboy-Prime used to begin the Infinite Crisis; among other things, this caused the death of Konnor Kent/Kon-El, the Superboy. - Also, the DC Universe wasn't through with Jean Loring. Not long after the Identity Crisis, she would be given the power of Eclipso; she would go on to corrupt both the Spectre (leading to the death of Magic), the end of Shazam (for a while) and the corruption of Mary Marvel into a willing servant of Darkseid. - Effects of the Identity Crisis were felt right through to the Blackest Night & Brightest Day epics, when many of the dead rose to fight the living.

David Scott one of the reasons I love the arc is because of the lasting effects it would have on the whole Universe. A big criticism I often had with event comics (Marvel had this problem more so than DC at this time) was that after everything happened everything would have a soft reboot and essentially the event didn't matter in the long run. With IC, it brought upon a new era in DC that lasted a good 6 yeasts

I loved this story along with the other darker stories DC has. It provides a different, darker, and honestly sad tone to the lives of superheroes. The ending of this one always makes me feel sad, and shows how a hero's wife could end up going down a twisted path due to fear and sadness caused by the time she wishes her husband was there instead of him being gone with the possibility of never returning home to her. In turn she ended up being locked away and drugged in an asylum bc of what she did and he is so hurt and heartbroken his mind alters and he basically goes insane by the events leading up to this left to lay in bed every night talking to a ghost from the past as if nothing happened to cope with the pain in his heart he now has.

Srb2wadlordGaming Unnecessarily killing off Sue Dibny which thereby gets rid of one of the most lovable and fan favorite couples in DC comics. The reasoning behind the murder to begin with was pretty weak. Deathstroke soloing the JLA. Just to name a few.

Happy Veterans Day Benny. This is a polarizing story that for better of worse, depending on your point of view, began the changing of the DCU to it's darker, edgier content. I love Rags Morales's art on this. Since you already did the Batman/Zatanna follow up how about doing the Catwoman story arc where she finds out about what Zatanna did?

MR.DC COMICS As I know DC it's getting praise for a lot of the comic books from rebirth, Marvel is getting some praise but there a lot of people that are hating what they are doing with the Marvel comics currently. I I'm not a fan of the DC movies for now, my favorite movie was MOS, but BVS really didn't have that good of a story, really felt forced (IMO), Suicide Squad I enjoyed but it was also meh for me. The ones really getting hate are the movies and it's quite understandable. Or you might also be referring to a marvel fanboy that hates everything DC, does you just ignore

J Ricardo i like you sir, starting a civil discussion about the flaws and pros of the current dc status. I am a DC fan and a fan of some Marvel runs as well, but i agree that the DC movies thus far are lackluster. This was personally not my favorite story, but i loved other stories of the time. I see you're frustration as casual moviegoers would sway Marvel over DC when they are both great comic companies
@jeantraztoq6168
@jeantraztoq6168 8 жыл бұрын
Badluck_ Ryan true but I really don't mind that frustration, many of my friends and people that I know thinks DC movies aren't that good because of the way they change their biggest characters , because they truly love DC and enjoy almost everything that is currently on (except Teen titans go).

The fact death stroke took on all those heroes no problem is kind of weird…especially a green lantern….really?? Green lantern could of easily put em in a box….that’s where I think the writers rushed some of this. They wanted a terrifying outcome and it’s all kind of rushed…but none the less a truly amazing story by DC

He would probably still go nuts. Personally for me what Joker did was more of question of when rather than what. He took away his happiest moment and put it down as the unhappiest memory. The what still has value,don't get me wrong but this Superman from the injustice universe seems kinda destined to this. The same as in the original JL series,the Jl became the Injustice league after Flash was killed by Luthor.

The one problem I have with this is that I don't believe for a single second that Wally West would keep Ollie's little secret. Barry might have, but Wally wouldn't. Wally would not even consider it for a moment, no matter Ollie's justifications. Batman and Superman would know what happened faster than Ollie could physically react. Ollie would be in prison within a day. Zatanna even faster, if not far worse, since she can't be held as easily. Every single one of them who went along with that would, and should, be permanently removed from the team and put wherever they can no longer make decisions for themselves or anyone else for the rest of their naturalborn lives.
