Not necessarily in canon Batman faces off against clones of the Justice League as the real heroes were captured which explains why he's facing the heroes in the game so he's not necessarily picking a fight he was calling for help but the heroes started attacking him for no reason and it was until after defeating the Clones did he realize what was going on

It's Sad because this is the only Official DC Fighting Game with 2-D Sprite Animation, I would imagine developers like Capcom, SNK or even Arc System Works that would make a Kick-Ass DC Fighting Game, but Unfortunately it's Impossible now. Nowadays, we got the 2 *Injustice* Games that were developed by "Nether Realm Studios" (the People that made the Mortal Kombat Games) that are really Fun to Play.
