The DCAU that ran from 1992 to 2006 is easily the best on-screen "shared universe" that DC has had to offer. While there were missteps here and there of course, by and large, it was a fantastic showcase of various DC heroes. "Justice League Unlimited" was definitely a great culmination series, that managed to tie in continuities from all the previous shows/movies, and pay off certain storylines here and there. DC had the blueprint with their animated shared universe. It's crazy they couldn't make it work in live-action.

Absolutely agree with you! The live actions felt like they were a response to Marvel’s success in the early 2010s. I know a lot of people loved young justice but personally it didn’t have the same weight or the feel like the pre 2006 shows had. What was also great about the DCAU was that you didn’t have to watch all of them to understand or appreciate the characters and plot which just goes to show how well they were made.

Funny thing, but in theory the dcau technically never ended when you consider lex Luther and dark side got hold of the anti life equation. The anti life equation rewrites life itself to the point of making the user a creater god. So in theory every dcau and dc live action content is now a recreation from dark side and lex Luther fucking around with the anti life equation in the process to create the perfect universe.

It was literally everything 😭 they even gave us smaller known characters like Etrigan and my boy klarion the witch boy. All we honestly needed was the teen titans. Paul Dini was the true mastermind of why everything worked. Bruce Tim made that god awful Harley Quinn and Batman movie where Bruce Tim decided it would be fun if Harley took advantage of Nightwing against his will

I loved the episode in Justice League Unlimited with Black Canary and Green Arrow. The chemistry between them was so GOOD!!

No love for my boy Booster Gold, hes such an underrated character. Hes honestly one of the most interesting characters has with one of the best character arcs, he really earns the title the greatest super hero you've never heard of.
