Thank you pastor Matthew for this lesson. I really enjoyed it and took copious notes. My Baptist church doesn't go over catechism so I'm happy to be learning from you on KZbin. There aren't any PCA churches near me.

Hi Kelli, Not sure where you are located, but you might also look for an Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) or a United Reformed Church of North America (URCNA), or a Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA). Each of these are solid, confessional, conservative churches adhering to the Westminster Confession of Faith or its predecessor, the Belgic Confession. Pastor Everhard is indeed a blessing to many.

Hello all.. Would someone be so kind to explain the meaning of the word "Forensic" in the context of Justification. Thank you.

As I understand, “forensic” in this context means “relating to courts of law”. It means that God has reviewed the facts and judges Christians to be righteous. It isn’t a process or a progress, it’s a declaration of an accomplished/past truth.

It might help to remember that the word is related to the word "Forum." A court is a forum for debating the facts. Because of Jesus, the debate is over and we are justified. Col. 2:13-15
