It's funny how the top comments are about how helping up the person you just knocked down by dunking is more disrespectful or embarrassing. It's embarrassing how many people agree with those comments. Justin Anderson's gesture was all CLASS. I understand being competitive is part of the game and dunking on someone can easily provoke the "I AM A BEAST" mindset, but it takes so much more character and emotional control to do what Justin Anderson did.

In my personal experience, if I dunk on somebody, I'm not gonna help them up. I'm jus gonna head to the free throw line. Now if I knock somebody down who tries to dunk on me, thats when I;ll extend a hand
@CRUNCHYYRAPSUPREME12 жыл бұрын
the guy looked a little banged up on the play when he went down, so he wanted to help.....

@chingading12 жыл бұрын
@GladGanjaGabber Fa sho. I know what you mean though. I went to high school where hoopmixtape doesn't happen very often, so I can relate. But playing at my junior college level, everyone can dunk so it happens. I just think anyone playing against guys like Justin Anderson or other high school power houses like Shaq Johnson understand what's coming. And I personally like a more friendlier game, so when I dunk on people or even just get tangled up I try to make sure their okay.

I never want to get dunked on but it happends. it all comes with playing basketball. everyone gets dunked on eventually. I respect dude for helping the other guy up. If his defender didn't lay on the ground like that it wouldnt of been a need for the dunker to help him up. But the dunker saw the the guy was hurt or something because he laid on the floor. so he helped him up

@GladGanjaGabber The guy who got dunked on in this video didn't refuse the hand either. He was more in shock/regretting he got in the way. And he had his jersey over his face so probably didn't see Mr. Anderson's hand until his jersey got out of the way.

@chingading for all i know he is a really classy kid. but our coach told us specifically if we knock a kid down on a loose ball or going to the rim. to help them off the floor. he said"that really used to piss me the fuck off, you just kicked MY ass and now you have to help ME up off the floor, its a sportsmanlike way to get in there heads boys" and i have to say i agree. maybe he was being a good guy but the guy refused and he still kept his hand in his face, i dont know

@chingading12 жыл бұрын
@GladGanjaGabber That's fine. Respect and listen your coach--he determines your playing time. But something tells me that your coach has anger problems. And anyone who is serious about playing basketball understands you can get dunked on especially at the college level. So when you're helping someone up it's not like "fuck you, I just dunked all over you and am helping you up to look classy" it's more like "I knocked you over, here's a hand."

#1 was nice, but looked likea charge. As for the helping him thing... i dont really consider it disrespectful, but yeah embarassing. Shows class for a person who just dunked on someone.
@chingading12 жыл бұрын
@TheRealKidzNextDoor Maybe all you care about is getting somewhere and not how you got there. And that's absolutely okay--to each his own. But when people display class and poise in whatever they're doing--most people can appreciate. And I bet money that "class" or respect or being coach-able, will help all these "niggas" get somewhere. Fake niggas who play for themselves get benched. Real niggas who play for their team get the ball in the final seconds of the 4th quarter.
@DopeItsRegg12 жыл бұрын
Great Sportsmanship, but every basketball player is going to get dunked on in some point of their life though.
