People commenting about him just pushing buttons have no idea how music is produced. But go ahead, fixate on the buttons and ignore everything else that goes into the stuff he was doing. Besides that, keys on a keyboard are just buttons. Ask yourself this: have you ever tried to build a track with a dozen or so instruments from scratch, or mic'd up a drum kit, or even done any simple gain staging? From an arrangement and production standpoint, you can't have that many instruments all playing really full parts or everything will get too busy and turn to mud. That's why he's only playing a little at a time. He's carefully making beats in the studio piece by piece, not performing in a talent show.
