I was bit by a tick that infected me with Lyme. It's a nightmare. At the moment the last few days I've been dealing with air hunger which is from a co infection that the tick gave me. It makes you feel short of breath, really sucks! People who don't have it, have no idea just how bad it gets, and pain like someone taking a hammer and smashing your bones. Difference though between Bieber and a regular person like myself, is he can afford the treatment. I cannot, and being a mom of two, worries me in that I can only fight and do my best living with it.

I'm so sorry I have it myself, I was diagnosed at 15 after years of illness and I'm 18 and treatments havent worked. I've done countless abx treatments and even had a piccline for 6 months. I've developed POTS, dysautonomia and SIBO. I was told it was depression and my mom had to be my cheerleader. I'm literally wasting away. My friends uncle was in the CDC and my friend has lyme, and she told me they are in cahoots with the drug companies. I dont know your age nor can I remember what age they cover till but theres an organization called Lyme Light and you can apply for grant's. If awarded to you you gotta be sure to keep up with uploading what you spent it on. But it helped me cover my $14,000 piccline treatment. It's something to look into. If not already you gotta get an LLMD. Some are covered by insurance some arent. Mine isnt at this time but he knows more about my situation so I've gone since the summer without seeing him since it's over $300 per visit. I've also tried hyperbaric chamber therapy (I know people who it helped recover) and I'm about to try ozone and uv therapy. My doctor is letting me be the tester since otherwise we'd never be able to afford treatment. But the UV therapy I've heard alot of good about, the ozone is new. It's like dialysis in a way. Are you anywhere near the east coast? I might have a few recommendations for doctors my friends mom told us were covered under state insurance. I'm up in NH. Sorry for the long dragged out message. But dont give up, I know it's hard when all you want to do is live your life and be there for those little moments but dont beat yourself up for what your body does to you. You are not this disease, you are more than that. You are a strong willed lady whose an amazing mother to her children and are so hard working. Recovery may seem far away but dont let it become something you believe is never gonna happen. I'm so very sorry you are going through this. Another thing, do you have a prescribed inhaler? That can help. Also I know it's hard when you feel you cant catch your breath but try and breathe in for 4 seconds through your nose, hold 7, breathe out 8 through your mouth. Repeat till you feel okay. It can help you catch your breath and calm your heart rate. Have you ever tried CBD? Epsom salt bath soaks are great for relieving inflammation and I do those sometimes. I've tried Bengay but I know for me personally especially when my SI is swollen it has no effect. Sorry for the second time for all of this thought I'd share in case any of it was useful.

@@Bella-qu5pf Thank you very much Bella, and wow love all the info you have given. I have been sick with it since the early 90's when a tick was lodged in the back of my head. I woke up with a nasty headache, felt like I had the flu, and was real dizzy. I am in the east, but southeast, and so the CDC refuses to recognize Lyme if you live in the south, even though tons of people here also got sick from a tick. I will try that with the breathing, although my sister tried to tell me I was just having anxiety, but I know the difference. My heart is not racing when I have these episodes of air hunger, in fact I won't even be thinking or worrying about anything, it'll just come on for no reason. I'm unfortunately on a Medicaid HMO, and they don't cover LLMD's. I had to self pay for one years ago, but I couldn't afford to go back, as it took me forever to save up just to go and see one to begin with. That's all one can do when dealing with this disease, we just have to fight it. I always say I'm battling this disease, but this disease does not define who I am. I do the epsome salts, and I drink lemon water. I try to limit any sugar intake, because sugar feeds Lyme. Lots of veggies, and very little starchy carbs seem to be the best for me, but I need to get some treatment in. I don't know what the criteria is for Lyme light, but there is another one I've been looking into, but the problem is on the other one, they want a regular M.D. instead of just an LLMD to agree to putting down that you need their assistance to treat Lyme, so it's not very easy from what I've seen to obtain these grants that I've come across so far.

On the outside we look fine, so many people including family members will then try to accuse of just being complainers or wanting attention. You are right about the co infections, they are worse sometimes. I had a number range for Babesia, and for Erlichia. They don't give us the respect in Florida where I live, and we all know it's about profit over lives. The insurance companies don't wanna pay, so the CDC pushes for doctors to deny most legit cases, especially if they are not from the northeast. I just posted an obituary for a woman I believe was from Florida, and she died it said due to complications from Lyme disease. Many people are dying because they can't get the proper treatment they need. I'm sorry that Justin Beiber has Lyme, but he has an advantage over most people infected with it, because he had the money to get a proper diagnosis, and can get his treatment. Yes, celebrities do get it, but they have a huge advantage over everyday people like us who don't. Unfortunately this is how it goes with things in life.

@@howtoskatewithanfour6889 I found a Lyme literate doctor, then went to an infectious disease doctor with experience treating Lyme who ordered for me to have a PICC line placed and I did a few months of IV antibiotic infusions at home and had home care, that took the brunt of the debilitating symptoms, I took samento tincture and burbur tincture and detoxed with Epsom salt baths and drinking lemon water, then worked on boosting my immune system and cut out gluten and dairy for good, I have been high functioning, tired and sore most days but high functioning!

I don't think he has lyme. There are way too many diseases that mimic lyme and the specialized laboratories throw a lot of false positives for some reason. Someone in the comments mentioned this could be due to a benzo addiction, and I think he/she is right. Many victims of psychiatric drugs think they have lyme. ADs, APs, Benzos... those things are poison.
