I’m glad someone is covering Herbert this year. I don’t think there is a single QB in the league that is definitely better at playing QB than Herbert. This is ignoring career accomplishments. Obviously guys like Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Lamar are more accomplished; but on the film, Herbert is that guy. Hopefully he gets some of that team success to get the credit he deserves

If he can just MAKE the conference championship that will mean he likely had to eliminate mahomes for his 2nd playoff win, if he's still disrespected after that we'll know they're just haters. Lamar only has 2 playoff wins,l. So if Herbert hits that number he HAS to be mentioned in the same regard unless there is a bias against him
@BrentTharp17 сағат бұрын
He has always been good mechanically. But his accuracy this year is absolutely insane. And he is making better decisions and improvising more. He seems to have a good connection with about six or seven guys now. If this continues, other teams are going to be hating life.
@therealrickytan22 сағат бұрын
Honestly feels like if any other starting QB tried to do what Herbert does, they’d end the year with at least 25 picks. The throws he completes are just insanely high on the difficultly scale.
@LightiningHobo19 сағат бұрын
Interesting to see Herbert be so creative. It's like he's writing his own play after the snap. People don't think 'improvisation' when talking about Herbert, but maybe soon, they will.
@BrentTharp17 сағат бұрын
In the last presser, Harbaugh said he handed the playbook off to Herbo a couple of games ago and told him to run it. It was pretty clear in the Raiders game that Herbert was running the plays that he had on his arm but was also changing things up A LOT. I love that Chase does these videos, because he catches many things that I would never notice when I'm casually watching, and he has the knowledge and NFL experience to explain it.

One thing people don’t realize about QJ is how smart of a football player he is. It showed a lot in this game because a lot of his yards weren’t because of sensational catches or sharp routes, they were just because he was reading the defense, particularly where the holes in the zones were, so well. Love to see him succeeding ⚡️

I appreciate the unapologetic honesty in this video. I understand bills have to get paid, and when you make appearances on shows that you have to follow the agenda of the producers. I'm glad you have this outlet to clear the air on your stance on Herbo. Keep up the good work. I hope they make a run so the naysayers have no more nay to say.
@BillBrasky535122 сағат бұрын
His downfield processing blows my mind. Fitting it in those spots at that distance, just knowing he make the throw with two moving objects moving very fast away from him. And it's that he does it all the time. It's almost routine. Like the Dallas game, where he fit the hole shot to Keenan. Great analysis. Almost like to see things from Herbert's POV, show what he sees.

Herbert having a consistent run game as well as a balanced offensive scheme had made it so much easier for him to throw the ball, I remember with staley and joe lombardi he was in such bad field positions conssistently having to throw into hard coverages, but since the run game is effective now the playaction is set and he can play so much more effective and efficient. ALso the defense is keeping them in games now so the offensive playbook stays consistent.

love the deep dive and analysis you've been giving ! Herbert has had a great year even if his stats are down compared to prior years, what he's done this year with the pieces around him is truly special. I believe in order for this team to succeed on offense they needed him to take care of the ball as well as he has while still being as efficient on his limited throws per game. And lets not forget his best weapon is a rookie slot receiver that they drafted in the 2nd round lol. Joe alt was the right pick in the first ! This is the worst roster he will have in the Harbaugh era, excited to see how this things shapes up the next couple of years

From what i see Chase is as positive as he can be while still being objective, if you’re referring to him on shows like Facility. As a chargers fan, there’s only so much defense we can put up for our boy Herb as far as the playoffs are concerned when they haven’t put that type of success on film yet. Also, Chase played with guys like Brees, Stafford, & was in the building for the playoffs game a couple seasons ago. He’s definitely a better resource for an opinion on Herb than anyone else putting out content.

Chase Imo gets roped into saying things he normally wouldn't say. The bit on the facility when acho asked if the chargers are a dangerous team, chase to me felt uncomfortable having to follow the producers agenda of putting down the chargers and herbert. That all shit feeling here we go has gone away recently watching the boys play and I believe that this Saturday in Houston Justin Herbert will win his first playoff game and all the haters can you know what. I had this conversation with my manager the other day that people don’t realize what the guys been through and still performed. Yup. Herbert gets no love because he hasn't won a playoff game. Staley was the DC genius who couldn't stop the Jax offense. Former DC Bradley could have done better. OC Lombardi is so vanilla. I love how you're covering Herbert this year. But give him some love on The Facility on FS1. Your boy Acho who called Herbert 'Social Media QB' two/three years ago don't give him no credit whatsoever. Burrow you give credit, for his amazing stats. Herbert has been doing that the past 4 years but without a top 15 OL, and two stud WRs AND his past two HCs were crap. Don't blame Herbert on the Jax playoff collapse, HC Staley was the DC genius and couldn't stop the Jax offense. So please give Herbert some DAP on the show and tell Acho to STFU.
