Joe alt and ladd mcConkey are the reason the team has been so good and consistent joe alt was absoloutley the right pick at 5 having great bookend tackles is so important for a offense and jim knows that thats why he was picking joe alt from the beggining he is a build the team through the trenchs kind of coach that is the rigjt way to build a team cus if your o-line is good and giving your qb time to throw and the backs space to run the offense will be humming and if your D-line is good it makes everyone else on the defense good the chargers D-line isnt great but its good enough to have their defense a top unit and the best scoring defense in the nfl nevwr would of thought they be this good at the start of the season I was figuring they would be a lot better go from bottom 5 defense to about 18-23 about average which would in itself be a huge jump in the right direction thats all I wanted was for the defense and running game to be at least average to help justin out and not have to put up 30-40 points a game and still lose but having a competent defense and running game so justin doesnt have to be superman every game is huge their run game is average to above average and the defense is elite ita crazy what jesse minter did with not much to work with all in one offseason

I appreciate you taking a critical perspective. All of this talk about the Chargers winning on national media has me nervous. The Texans definitely feel disrespected being underdogs in their own home. While it may be warranted, I'm not used to it.

Exactly ..we need to come out confident but know that no lead is safe we lost to the jags with literally this same team except Allen was a vet and ladd is a rookie who's explosive but Allen was at the time a better receiver ...the defense was younger but we got solid rookie contributions this year ..we need to come out angry at the jags game 2 years back out last playoff game and come out with complete attention to the Texans and not overlook any aspects of their game

It’s amazing how different those of us on the outside see the game/match up. Fortunately it’s not up to our perspectives. I’m a retired Marine and have been in multiple combat situations where the numbers weren’t in our favor. However, execution and employment with attitude is how we prevailed. The same is true in sports. A Coach has a huge impact on the performance of his players and the culture of the team. We shall see on Saturday.

The chargers wr core is a lot better than people make them out to be they have 4.3 and 4.4 guys all of them except josh palmer they are getting simi fehoko back which is big and QJ has been getting better and better Darius davis is a X-factor on offense and special teams and ladd is just a beast will dissly has been suprisingly good as a pass catcher reliable catcher and stonne smart can do some damage a couple times a game and then having jk back is huge for the offense and then not to mention the texans biggest strenght is their pass rushers but the charger have probably the best offensive tackle duo in rashawn slater and joe alt so they can slow down that pass rush as long as jim harbaugh and greg roman have a great gameplan they will eat all game on offense and on defense they are in great hands with jesse minter calling the defense that guy is probably the best DC in the league and doing it with whoever you give him to work with

As a Texans fan I agree with what you say but people overlook how underrated the Texans interior d line has been, plus the Texans rotate and move guys in and out all game so I think the pressure on Herbert will show up later in the game. Not only that but this is the first time our front 7 completely healthy together. Still I think it’s gonna come down to the last play of the game

I think if you held the defensive PPG #1 rating for the entire season you are the best defense in the nfl. The only goal of the defense is to not give up points just like the offense should be judged based on how many points they scored. Last time I checked the team that scores the most points still wins not the one who got the most style points or has the most stars. I haven’t seen the chargers mentioned legitimately as the #1 defense and no one talked about it like it never happened. Yeah we gave up the least amount of points all season, that should tell you everything you need to know.
