Ah, the version of which i just said "SO autotuned that is should get roasted for it. Horrible and lazy interpretation, "lets smooth over all the edges and make it beige"..". Not taking those back, if it is the same one we are talking about. That is the kind when you are making a product and eventually as you are polishing it, you take all the things away from it that makes the original great. The original has GREAT sense of parody and laughing at yourself, over the top stadium rock anthem with cheesy lyrics. Trying to make it "authentic and intimate"... It is kind of like people thing that "Every Breath You Take" is a love ballad, and then make a cover of it non-ironically. You did not get the song, you used the song, exploited it. Taking away all the edges it became nothing. And you obviously have the talent to do better.

This is a very special song to me. It was playing on the radio as I was steaming down the road far too fast having been told my one day old son had been rushed into the SCBU. If you listen to the lyrics imagining new parents looking at - and unable to hold - their one day old child in an incubator hooked up to various medical monitors they take on a very different meaning: ‘I believe in a thing called love, just listen to the rhythm of my heart, there’s a chance we can make it now, we’ll be rocking’ til the sun goes down…’

It's great to see you being so generous. A lot of bands (I'm looking at you Eagles, in particular) would not only refuse to acknowledge these covers, but will actively strive to have them removed and blocked. I really don't see the sense in that. It's not like we are going to buy their version of the song instead of your's, and it keeps your version in people's minds. The Darkness are still current because we haven't forgotten you, and these covers are part of that.

Man I love this channel. Didn't know how to take you at first, but once I knew you sang and played that wicked axe as well as you are the singer of "a thing called love" I'm in 100% aa well as I immediately subbed! I mean how could one not be a total fan? Love how you are phenomenally awesome yet you don't take yourself so seriously and I could sit and chat to a guy like you for hours. I love how royally English you are too man. The absolute best music always comes from across the pond. Always without a doubt! It must be so gloomy there that you Brit's just have nothing bloody better to do than crank out hit after bloody hit. So remember to stay great and Pip pip Cheerio, carry on my mate.

My wife and I sang a duet cover of I Believe in a Thing Called Love to start our wedding. We met at Karaoke, and it seemed a far more appropriate start than the traditional wedding march...

Halocene have worked with Violet Orlandi a few times, always good. Post Modern Jukebox however, they always produce gold, their cover of the theme song for "Pinky and the Brain" is possibly the best thing they have done.

My first dance song at my wedding was I Believe In a Thing Called Love - Delta Goodrem blended with darkness version. It worked really well as it sounds like a nice slow song to get everyone up and then once they're on their feet it blended into the classic rock version we know and love and everyone had no choice but to stay up and keep dancing haha!

Just listened to your cover of street spirit. All those years of not hearing your version until now. Justin...its OUTSTANDING. If anything was to be spoken of as fire on fire. This cover is it. The Darkness and especially your performance has made this by far the best song ive been blessed with in years. Last few songs was the blur one, as song called Bossman and Gerry's Erratic Cinematic with the whistling and the line "will you live before you die. " his whole album is on fire. Great work Justin. You will be praised for your efforts repeatedly.

Just want to say I dig the song.i was one that didn’t know of your band so I had to look up this song and I fucking dig your vocals. Talented as hell. Love the whole sound of this song. Got a very cool 80s vibe with your 90s type vocals blended with so many styles is really cool. Your range is impressive and I can tell there’s basically nothing aiding your voice. Natural recording. Love it
