As a huge Maiden and Bruce fan can't wait for the new solo album. Bruce's solo albums have been pretty solid with the two outstanding ones being Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding. The live album Scream for Me Brazil is also great and contains possibly some of his greatest vocals. Really looking forward to what Bruce and Roy Z will give us and would also have been nice to have Adrian Smith on board too. As for the single I really don't like the video although maybe it's cheesy pretentiousness or tongue in cheek vibe is lost on me? The song has a solid riff and a nice melodic side so the rest of album should bode well. The only thing I don't like is the growling vocal for the repeat of the title ' Afterglow of Ragnarok'. Justin you really need to check out Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith's album collaboration with Ritchie Kotzen. Adrian has to be one of the most underrated guitarists and it's not widely known how good his lead vocals are. When Maiden had their 'second coming' in 2000 with the Brave New World album much of the credit was about Bruce's return. However, the ensuing success and has had as much to do with Adrian's return as guitarist and composer.

Growing up I was entertained and amazed by Bruce in Maiden , I got my general aviation pilot license when I was 50 and now I'm more impressed with the ratings and knowledge base he has as a pilot more than anything else. Bruce is the man.
@SuziQ. Жыл бұрын
My parents got their ratings in their fifties, too. My mom got her IFR (dad was only VFR). Bruce’s dedication to being a good pilot has always impressed me. I’ve known pilots who shouldn’t be pilots (both commercial and private).
@SuziQ.11 ай бұрын
@richardharrold9736 , I haven’t found any articles that mention anything about the cause of the crash, just that she had 400 hours of flight time, and was working on getting her IFR rating. That Bonanza was almost 60 years old. I don’t understand her “flying for fun” attitude. My parents (and Bruce, from what I’ve heard) took flying seriously, and used it as transportation. We kept our plane well maintained. Do you have any links about the conditions you mentioned?
@SuziQ.11 ай бұрын
@richardharrold9736 , I read part of the thread, and watched the video included. It seems like she had no understanding of the autopilot system. I don’t know why she was using it, and fighting it, when she should have disengaged the AP, and handled the plane herself. That video was with one of her instructors, not the video of the flight prior to the crash. I don’t know how she got certified to fly VFR, when it looks like she didn’t know how to fly the Beechcraft.
@SuziQ.11 ай бұрын
@richardharrold9736 , Are the AP controls aftermarket add ons? They must be. I’m still confused that she was certified to fly. How did she pass the tests? I know a younger guy who was trained by his brother, and should not be allowed to fly an airplane (drugs, primarily, but he does everything half-assed). Kobe Bryant’s pilot should not have flown that helicopter in those wind conditions. Why isn’t the industry doing better to improve safety?
@SuziQ.11 ай бұрын
@richardharrold9736 , Did you read the NTSB report? Under “operating certificates (held),” it says “none”. Doesn’t that mean that she wasn’t certified to fly that plane?
