The fact that so many people in the comments find different songs familiar to this is really quite fascinating. Every artist has influences but some are so blatant! Not that anyone cares but I heard Snoop Dog and Dr Dre - The Next Episode too. I also often default to a Northern accent when I think I'm being hilarious. And I bloody loved Bugsy Malone and watched it repeatedly as a kid. I don't think he was hating on the song or Yungblood, he was positive about both. The only bit I think he meant as negative criticism was when some bits didn't rhyme, Justin always has a bit of a chip on his shoulder about that. It's fine to acknowledge that bits and pieces aound like other songs though, he didn't mean that as criticism just discussion.

The problem I have with the song is that I don’t understand what it’s supposed to be. What vibe is it going for? Most songs about sitting in your house having nothing to do either lean into the fun contentment side, or the depressing and self-loathing side. This song does neither, it’s feels like a strange middle ground in-between the two.

It sounds like '"Jenny's Tale" from The Tale of Jenny and Screech, when Ren describes the minute Jenny and Screech lock eyes. But that probably borrows from something else itself. I liked this.

I love Yungblud. I'm old (51) and he is such a joy to watch and listen to. Inclusive. Tell me what song doesn't have a bit of other songs in it. Leave him alone. He is positive and loving. He got me through the pandemic. If you don't like him fine. But he is a positive soul.

I don’t care about the song, but even though ‘baby’ and ‘crazy’ are not perfect rhymes, they do technically rhyme. A half rhyme is still a type of rhyme.

Hi Justin, absolutely love the videos, it’s amazing to watch someone who has been and currently still in the music business talk about it in such detail. Just wanted to ask a question not sure if you’ll talk about it in a future video but I just noticed that “I believe in a thing called love” is up a step in G on the music video but, in F# on the original recording. I only noticed while playing along to the music video and wonder if I was tuned a step down. Just wanted to know if there was any particular reason or if it was by accident. Love the vids . Cameron 🤘

The title Lowlife is a bit Parklife. The song release mysteriously coincided with Blur's Wembley shows. He's borrowed from both of Albarn's groups on this song. Totally Warren G and walking down the road with an attitude is a bit Ashcroftesque. Saw him live last year in Madrid and he put on a great show, he definitely has a lot of talent and energy. However I am starting to doubt some of his backstory. It's time for him to show us if he has any originality, because every single song is a rip off of something else. His latest song, which I heard online a few days ago, has made me wonder whether he's cashing in on something he definitely shouldn't be. My opinion of him has changed a bit and I feel like his record company might be flogging a dead horse now.
