Just to clarify, the title "Budget Centurion" is in reference to the Shot kal, which is a premium vehicle. This one has so much in common to it, while being in the tech tree :D

@@kingbones2620 Swedish dazzle camo makes it more conspicuous than the stock camo in the British and IDF version of the premium Dalet, and the dazzle camo makes a huge difference when it comes to masking your tank's silhouette in most map present in War thunder, and making it time-consuming to identify what are you then trying to identify your ammo rack, which the 104 already fired its gun at whoever discovered it. Also the video didn't imply it's better, it's as what it say; a version that you can get without opening your wallet to get one, at least until the arrival of the Israel tech tree in recent year and along with it the Sho't Kal Gimel after you made this outdated comment LMAO

The ERA coverage on the 104 is pretty good.

It's so much like a shot kal because the shot kal was the inspiration to how the swedes decided to upgrade thier centurions. They even bought a shot kal hull to study how they got the engine and transmission from an M60 to fit in a Centurion hull. The main difference irl is that the Strv 104 had a fire control system, the shot kal did to my knowledge not have one. Not that that makes any difference in game. In war thunder it's basicly just a slightly faster shot kal with less machineguns, different ammo storage, 30mm of high hardness rolled armor underneath the era on the front plate instead of the 51mm extra plate that the cent mk10 got and i also noticed the gun elevation speed is faster. And ofcourse it got less smoke shells. Overall i think it's pretty much equal to the shot kal, each got a few small advantages.

Hey Justin some constructive feedback for future videos. Could you please add in a section (in either the beginning where you go over the tank's Armour or the end where you are "brutally honest") where you talk about the tank's weakspots/ how to kill the tank easily. Even just a minute to mention it (like the jumbo's machine gun port and the tiger's cupola, panther's turret cheek etc). That would be very insightful, thanks ! Hope you see this !

The apfsds weakspot on the 279 hasn’t changed. You still shoot the front upper plate and hope for ammo rack

What if you only have apds tho? I face that thing often in my 7.7 British lineup. Can you still shot the driver's hatch area?

@@daphydrake7899 I'm not familiar with british line up but from my apds experience it's either cry or get lucky. Alternatively just look at the armour penetration viewer and find the easiest reliable weakspot

@@PorWik The thing is that you can't look at the armor viewer for the obj 279 if you don't own it. But i guess i will have to try it out to find out. Earlier there was a few pixles near the driver's hatch/optics where you could pen with apds.

@@PorWik I can't see the obj 279 or the Is-7 because it's a hidden event vehicle. Unless they changed that recently, you can't look at the armor viewer for event vehicles unless you own them.

Strv 104 WHY U SOULDN'T GRIND/SPADED IT? 1.The stockgrind on this tank so pain and slooow 2.This tank so underwhelmed and unfit for today meta (drone age era) coz either u uptier/downtier too many premium/squadron vehicles that will BEAT this tank at any ASPECTS 3.The darts are mediocre and located at tier iv, meaning u will stockgrind forever this tank 4.No Thermal + Slow Reload 5.Armour it's like RNG sometimes Bounce, sometimes 1 HIT BOOM 6.SLOW AT ANY ASPECTS, This tank not only SLOW at reload when stock, even spaded this tank still have so slooow "Reactionary Mobility" B.) About Strv 105 The 105 same but the stockgrind not too bad coz u got better armour, and u got basic darts at tier II modification, meaning the stockgrind not as slow and painfull as 104, plus the final darts SO GOOD, and it has thermal BUT still 105 SO SLOW AT ANY ASPECTS Conlusion : If u have Premium CV, my suggest just pair it with bofors 9.3, and yeah don't bother STRV 103C, if u wanna suggest good sweden plane for br 8-9 just dm me :D

The difference between BR 8.0 and BR 8. 3 tanks is massive... EIther this tank needs to be upped in BR or there need to be new BR's added and all tanks need new placements on the tree. Just look at BR 8.0 and then this one.

I'm curious about hull break. Do you think it's just too aggressive with its application sometimes and could be toned down or would you want it completely removed? Personally I'm a fan of it at lower tiers when dealing with things like Hellcats and especially Pumas, but at the same time I can see how it's a bit too prevalent sometimes (track shots killing BMPs etc.)

I don't get why this thing is at 8.3 even though it has ERA, Stabilizer and APfSDS while the leopard is at 8.7 without LaserRangefinder not to forget the m48a2ga2 is also 8.3 but lacks LaserRangefinder and stabilizer but has the same apfsds

You can't compare this to an A1A1, come on. ERA doesn't matter, Soviet 8.3 tanks have APFSDS+stabilizers. Put your focus towards why the AM-1 is 8.3

The reason i don't mention the repair cost is simple, the repair prices change roughly every 1 - 3 months. So it wouldn't make sense to add it only to create inaccurate expectations in the future.

Its got the great one shotting cannon but long reload, ideally you want to be by/behind cover, shoot and then reverse with your great reverse speed. And I wouldn't use it as a "heavy tank" even in downtiers, although you will bounce shells occasionally
