@@siko9799 there is a good comparison Video on KZbin where both Tanks are comapered in terms of mobility. You can clearly see that the type 10 is much more mobile than the type 90 in all aspects. The developers are aware of a lot of issues and inaccuracies with the Type 10, and I suspect they're going to be using these selectively, rolling out armor fixes (protection currently lower than rated in official documents, the lower front plate NERA module for protecting the driver is also entirely absent), handling fixes (vertical traverse speed is notably lower than is outlined in official documents), and internal module layout fixes (there's a fuel tank on the floor of the vehicle currently, which makes no sense because there's an escape hatch in the floor in the real thing), even the replenishment of the bustle rack (can be reloaded internally, currently they behave as if it's externally reloaded). As it stands, it's probably safe to consider the Type 10 "future proof" provided the developers are attentive to correcting it to match the shift in powercreep.

Reload speed can also be much faster than 4 seconds. Im pretty sure that this can also apply to the Type 90, but a faster reload on the Type 10 would give a nice push to get it

What we should expect. In the future, at some point, we will get the traverse fix. Then at some point, we will get the upper hull armor hole on the side fix. Lastly, we will get a mobility fix. Beyond those, I don't see anything will be done to type 10, period. Best case scenario, we get some implementation of active suspension, and that's about it.

About Justin's mention regarding the Type-89's upcoming nerf, it's not just that one, most of the BR 8 - 9 of Japanese vehicles are all getting nerfed hard. Here's the list (courtesy of WT forum user Fireraid233): Type 74 (all) gun elevation speed - 4.5 → 4°/s. gear ratios changed Type 74 (C), Type 74 (E), Type 74 (F) - max reverse speed: 14 → 7 km/h. Type 74 (G) max speed - 53 → 14 km/h (not a typo, someone at Gaijin did a big oopsie with the main gear ratio) max reverse speed - 16 → 4 km/h Type 87 AW gear ratios changed max reverse speed - 14 → 7 km/h turret rotation speed - 90 → 56°/s Type 89 turret rotation speed - 60 → 30°/s gun elevation speed - 60 → 24°/s MG ammo - 1000 → 2000 launcher rotation speed - 25 → 30°/s launcher elevation speed - 25 → 2°/s (not a typo, have fun!) launcher elevation limits - 0° / 12° → 0° / 20° added 5 more forward gears added 2 more reverse gears

The Type 89 was once my favorite tank in the entire game, along with the Type 74 and the STB-1. Gayjin loves to nerf those things sadly... Also the community likes to throw sh!t on them sadly.

@@underviv64 no not really. stb in the past was extremely strong but now? its average, with the removal of heat and it being moved to 8.0 made it balance (because gaijin fucked up apds damage) but the mobility nerf wasnt needed, and the type 89 gun handling and gun movement has been thrown out of the window. hell the MISSILE LAUNCHER HAS A TURN RATE OF 2 DEGREES PER FUCKING SECOND. that means it would take 5 fucking seconds to move 10 degrees.

Good, I mean that's still not what type 10 is irl, but that's a good start. They just need to fix -external model (basket, crates for lights, and other small details ignored before for some reason) -gaps in the internal armor (the turret - spaces between cheeks and the gun itself, along with front of the hull -driver is not protected whereas irl he is, by both armor and fuel tank) -reload speed should be cut to more or less Bkan lvl And I will finally be able to enjoy my fav mbt. Btw as a matter of fact, type 10 being lighter than type 90, gives around 70% better protection. And my one thingy I wish they add at some point, active suspention, which balances the tank upon firing, minimalizing the recoil.

I love the Type 10 now after they fixed it. Pre-fix I used to always feel how the Type 10 was super sluggish, so any time I died and brought out a Type 90 it was a pleasant surprise in how mobile and responsive they are. Now the Type 90 feels sluggish lol. I wish they were as responsive as the Type 10

when you first played the tank and where tanking shots i went in to the protection analsis and checked what rounds could pen the turret cheeks and i found that all nato rounds when through no problem. but then i checked the russian/chinese rounds and found they couldnt pen the turret not sure if they changed it since the last video.

Type-10 from JGSDF test is still faster and accelerates faster then Type-90. Also Type-10 APFSDS is said to be more powerful then DM-53. That said, where's my OOF-40's videos? you have OF-40 mk.1 and mk.2 to review and if you want, theres still a MTCA

Type 10 has no chance of being better than dm53. While the construction is unknown on both of them, dm53 is a longer rod and that's what matter. But the overall mobility issue still persist.

I by no means think that is sufficient research but I think it's pretty realistic that a round as modern as the Type 10 would be better than DM53.

@@mauswaffe Then do more research. Higher velocity means higher drag, basic physics. What appears to be true is the max pressure is higher with jsw 120 compare to rhm 120L55, and slightly higher than L55a1. That means we potentially have a higher velocity, and most likely is. Since that's what the american did to m256. For all practical purposes, jsw 120 and rhm 120L55 will put type 10 and dm53 at the same initial velocity. So, what we know is they basically get out of the barrel at the same velocity, and the impact velocity shouldn't be signficantly different at combat distance. Then the next thing we will have to consider is the projectile dimension. We don't really know a great deal about both of them, and many things are being speculated about. But let's assume neither Japanese nor German has some black magic, they did not make any real break throught on the material used. So the only thing left we can compare are the rod mass and length. Dm53 is both slightly longer (by less than 50mm) and alot heavier (by about 1kg). Everything else being equal, this is the only real performance indicator we have to go off on. But I'm not sure why we bother about all those stuff. Neither one of the mentioned rod are that good anyways, considering American fielded m829a3 and shoot it out of m256 at a even higher pressure for years at this point.

@@jintsuubest9331 When I was talking about drag I assumed the drag at equal velocity would be lower as it's the only way I could explain the, on average, higher estimations of the Type 10s performance. As for the american round, I think the DM53 is closer to the performance of the Type 10 round and therefore a better comparison. Edit: I was also comparing it to L/44 fired DM53, as the JSW is also 44 calibers long. And just in case, before this becomes a heated argument: I do not say the Type 10 or the DM53 should perform any differently in the game as both of their performance is close enough to what I could find and information on both is highly based on speculation. I was only trying to explain to the best of my abilities why I think it is possible that the Type 10 round fired from the JSW gun performs better than the DM53 round fired from the Rheinmetall L/44 gun.
