What is the advantage of exporting the melody after finishing it instead of just leaving it in the piano roll?
@JRent506 Жыл бұрын
There are advantages and disadvantages. The obvious disadvantage is that once it's exported you can't change the melody. The advantages are that it frees up your CPU, and it allows you to manipulate the melody by chopping/time stretching/reversing etc. You can do all that stuff with the MIDI as well, but it has a different vibe when you do it directly to the audio file.

Just dropped a mixtape "Family Representative" by Jayoo Da Boss, would love a simple listen. Big shout out to you for helping me throughout my early years! Definitely gon carry on my love for the craft and hope you do as well
@JRent506 Жыл бұрын
I gave it a listen. There are some good ideas there, and you have a good voice for rapping. I feel like the mixing on the vocals was a little inconsistent, like on "Desires" they felt a little too low and on "Lil Pound" they were way louder than the beat. Also on "Brothers" it sounds like the Autotune is not in the same key as the beat. Most of the negative side of the tape is just technical stuff like that.
@jayoodaboss Жыл бұрын
@@JRent506 more then appreciate you frfr. Everything from the intro to the interlude is considered "experimental" to me, stepping stones almost. I Felt I needed to get seeds growing to expand on so that next time I plan to make another song along those lines I would be able to traverse it a little easier. Everything after the interlude is what I call my usual style. Thank you for taking not only the time to reach out and listen to my tape, but as well as sharing the knowledge that you've gained over the years for years.

when you pulled up the ai filter it clicked that artist's of a certain stature will start ordering full-fledged demos of their songs soon and maybe re-record it to add some better bars and a more natural tone. lots of music coming at least 🤷♂️
@JRent506 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was thinking something similar. This tech could be useful for producers that send out beat packs to artists with some vocal ideas included. It would make their submissions stand out more but it also might creep the artist out
@gaychomsky Жыл бұрын
@@JRent506 i reckon the creepiness is gonna wear off soon enough. theyre gonna make sure to disarm the threat of being replaced by a bot through copyright law and the ultimate talent will be to serve as the face of the brand
